Chapter 35 - Breaking Flow Test. Resonance Training Ground.

"If you really want to rebuild the archery system, don't be afraid of failure. Let's work together completely, just like when we were kids."

Dongyun Academy West Area Closed Training Ground "Turbulence Resonance Field"

Located in Dongyun's West Area closed training facility, the archery club has transformed this space into a tactical testing zone accessible only to senior members. This area is referred to as the "Turbulence Resonance Field" and is equipped with extreme condition training devices, such as a real-time wind direction disturbance simulation system, a dynamic target projection system, and a mental synchronizer. It is one of the most demanding training sites in Dongyun. Hōdō Saya and Kantsuki Haruna officially launched the Archery Reconstruction Experiment: Turbulence Phase.Test 1: Wind Pressure Arrow Shooting

Simulating a strong wind of 20 levels at an oblique angle, Saya must adjust the arrow's trajectory based on the wind's flow, the target's position, and air resistance before releasing it.

The first experiment ends in failure. The arrow veers wildly in the wind and misses the target entirely. Kantsuki shakes her head. "Your calculations haven't outpaced the changes in the wind yet. Don't expect to solve this challenge by intuition alone."

Saya frowned but did not back down. Instead, she took out her privately modified "Wind Response Bowstring," made of a specially crafted material with slight vibration feedback.

"Listen to the wind. Hold the arrow."

She nocked the arrow again and closed her eyes.

Second experiment: The arrow cut through the air and hit the edge of the target.

Kantsuki let out a light sigh. "Finally starting to get the hang of it."

Trial Two: Dual Bow Coordination

"You are not alone in reconstructing the archery system," Guanyue said as she handed Saaya a light bow. The two stood back-to-back facing a set of five projected targets, each with changing trajectories and speeds. The goal of this trial was to shoot in cooperation, hitting the bullseye while also avoiding arrow collisions.Their breathing, rhythms, and shooting tempos were all different. For the first shot, there were three hits and two misses, with one arrow colliding with another. Guanyue scratched her head and chuckled. "Right now, you're trying too hard to match me with a tactical mindset. It's too stiff." Saaya laughed as well. "How did we used to cooperate before?" "Just by feeling." For the second shot, they no longer counted the seconds or timed their shots. They only listened to the sound of the wind and the rhythm of their steps. Swish, swish, swish—five arrows were released simultaneously, like twin stars resonating together, hitting five targets in the bullseye with no collisions or deviations. Guanyue lifted her bow, turning to lightly fist-bump Saaya. "Now this is our true 'resonance.'"

[Trial Three: Phantom Target Recognition Interference

The final task was the ultimate validation of this round of training. The system activated the phantom target disturbance system, creating twenty virtual targets, only five of which were real bullseyes. The others were deceptive "phantom targets" designed to interfere with the archer's aim. This test challenged the archer's intuition, recognition skills, and mental strength.Saaya's gaze was as calm as water. Not far behind her, Guanyue stood with two bows drawn. The phantom targets flashed by rapidly while the real targets jumped in an irregular pattern. One second, two seconds, three seconds. Bang! The first arrow was released, piercing through the illusion. Was it wrong? No, the phantom target disintegrated on its own, indicating a hit on the real target. Saaya whispered, "I caught the flaw in the illusion. The color at the edge of the phantom is one shade darker than the real target."

According to the system records, Saaya hit all ten targets, achieving a 100% recognition rate.

Guanyue looked at her and slowly nodded. "So, you've become this strong already."

[Oath of the Archer]

The training ground lights are off, and the experiment is paused. Kongyue sits on the sidelines, watching the target flags flutter in the wind.

"Saye, have you ever thought about what we would do if we couldn't defeat the 'Old Faction' in the end?"Saye places the bow on her knees, her gaze steady as ever.

"Even if we can only succeed once, we have to shoot the arrow."

"This is the 'Arrow Heart' of the Huangtang family, and it is also my own belief."
