The interior was dimly lit, and in the faint light, Dai Chengfeng could vaguely see Liu Erlong lying on the bed, her form curled up slightly.
However, Dai Chengfeng knew she wasn't asleep because the instant he entered, he keenly detected a minuscule change in her breathing rhythm.
She knew he had come in!
Seeing this, Dai Chengfeng didn't immediately call out to her but instead walked to the window and pulled the heavy curtains aside with a sharp tug.
The bright morning sunlight instantly flooded in, dispelling the gloom and illuminating Liu Erlong's pale and weary profile on the bed.
