Chapter 56 - [56] Mangekyō! (Part 2)

Pushing for Yuhara to become clan head had been a foregone conclusion—something already decided and essentially unchangeable.

Everyone has their own agendas, and the elders were no exception. But no matter how selfish they were, they were still Uchiha.

And the most typical Uchiha mindset? Submit to the strong. Faced with Yuhara, who possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan and had Shisui's backing, even if they had personal motives, they wouldn't dare express them—not even a hint—because those motives had already been completely crushed!

The vote that followed? Frankly, it was basically a done deal.

The hardliners were the first to move behind Yuhara, even though they knew Yuhara didn't share their ideology.

In fact, after what Yuhara said, they realized the problem: they didn't actually have a clear goal. They'd just been blindly hostile to Konoha, and that path led nowhere good.

Not that they lacked confidence—every Uchiha, every shinobi, had to stay cautious, sure—but they also had to have confidence. Without it, how could they face powerful enemies?

But confidence and arrogance weren't the same thing. Thinking about fighting against all the clans in Konoha and a whole army of shinobi… just imagining it made their scalps go numb.

They completely agreed with what Yuhara said. Even if you could win the fights, the others could just wear you down until you dropped dead!

Plus, Yuhara had already demonstrated overwhelming strength. Even their own elders were convinced. There was no way they'd go against him.

The moderates followed suit after the hardliners made their move. But really, they were the ones who'd made the choice first. Shisui had already pledged to follow Yuhara.

And their elders had long since made up their minds too. Even though they hadn't fought Yuhara themselves, they knew what he did to the hardliners.

With Shisui's loyalty, the elders' support, and Yuhara's undeniable strength, there was no hesitation on their part.

With both factions now firmly behind him, those who had supported Fugaku started getting antsy.

Many looked visibly troubled, clearly torn.

But regardless of what they chose in the end, the outcome was basically sealed.

Especially when Shisui re-entered the shrine at that moment. His expression was a little dazed, but once he realized the vote was happening, he didn't hesitate at all and walked straight behind Yuhara.

That move completely erased any last bit of uncertainty.

"So, it's settled then," Yuhara said, looking calmly at Uchiha Fugaku. "Clan head Fugaku, do you have anything else to say?"

Yuhara wasn't surprised by the result at all. He'd spent so much time working on Shisui, managing the factions, even deliberately exposing his Mangekyō, and throwing hands with the hardliners just to push this impeachment through.

And at the clan meeting, Yuhara had once again analyzed the Uchiha situation from a god's-eye view.

He'd done everything that could be done. It was like a card game where all his opponents were playing with their hands face-up.

He knew everything, had the system's help, and if that still wasn't enough to secure support, that would've been the real shocker.

Still, he didn't dare relax. One person still kept him on edge—Uchiha Fugaku.

In terms of support and reputation within the clan, Fugaku had already lost. Yuhara's blows had left him no footing.

But here was the critical question—did that guy have the Mangekyō Sharingan?

If he just gave up here, great. But if he refused to step down and did have the Mangekyō...

Then Yuhara would almost certainly have to fight him. No way around it.

The Uchiha were a battle-hungry clan. Yuhara had earned his seat at the table because of the Mangekyō.

If Fugaku also had it and claimed that a clan head had to be strong enough to hold the title, Yuhara couldn't say no.

Refusing would be a massive blow to his authority.

"Yes... the outcome is clear." Fugaku nodded, but what he said next made Yuhara sigh inwardly.

He lifted his head and looked seriously at Yuhara. Then his eyes began to change. As they turned crimson, a terrifying pressure poured from his body.

His Sharingan had reached the three-tomoe state. He glanced at Yuhara, then at Shisui. Only after a long silence did he speak.

"I admit, after hearing your arguments and reflecting on it, I am indeed not a qualified clan head. I am willing to step down.

However, Yuhara, while I believe you are wise enough for the role, an Uchiha clan head cannot rely on intelligence alone.

You must have the strength to be recognized by the whole clan!

Your performance earlier was impressive, but in my view, it's still not enough—your Sharingan isn't strong enough yet."

He paused. The tomoe in his eyes began spinning rapidly, and in an instant, they merged into one seamless shape.

Every elder's expression changed drastically. None of them had expected this—Fugaku had been hiding so deeply.

No one had imagined that this seemingly mild clan head also had the Mangekyō Sharingan!

"The Mangekyō Sharingan—this is the true peak of the Sharingan. I never wanted to reveal these eyes... I always thought they would bring trouble."

Fugaku's voice was soft but firm. He looked at Yuhara seriously.

"I'm willing to support you becoming the clan head, but I still believe you are lacking. I suggest Shisui be nominated instead.

Because he also has these eyes. He is qualified. But to truly become clan head, he must meet one condition—defeat me.

Only by defeating me, someone who also has these eyes, can you truly prove yourself as a worthy clan head!

Do you understand what I mean, Yuhara?"

"Yeah, I understand."

Yuhara let out a soft sigh and nodded. But then he shook his head.

He turned slightly, smiled at the worried elders behind him, then looked at Shisui.

Together, the two of them turned their gaze on Fugaku—and in that instant, their eyes turned blood-red, no longer the tomoe pattern.

Instead, those irregularly shaped, terrifyingly powerful eyes lit up—Mangekyō Sharingan.

Fugaku was momentarily stunned. So were the people behind him who had supported him.

Then, shock, fear, and utter disbelief spread across every face.

Mangekyō Sharingan—Uchiha Yuhara also had it!

Yuhara looked calmly at Fugaku, then smiled.

"Unfortunate for you, but I also have these eyes. I think that makes me qualified, don't you?"
