Chapter 11 - CRUSH

Damio's eyes never left Shiu's face as he rested his head on his knees. "I was very hurt by your rejection back then. Even now, it still hurts."

Shiu simply replied, "I see."

Damio pouted at his short, indifferent response. "I've always wanted to be friends with you, but I was too scared to talk to you back then. You were always in your own world and never noticed me. Every time I passed by you, I would get so nervous that my heart would race, and all I could do was stare at you."

Shiu looked into Damio's deep, dark eyes and saw his own reflection in them.

"Now that we're at the same school, I've finally found the courage to talk to you," Damio said softly with a smile.

Shiu wore a confused expression. Does this guy even know what he's saying? 'He's talking like he has a crush on me'.

"Can we please be friends?" Damio pleaded. 'For now,' he thought.

"Haaa," Shiu sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Do whatever you want."

Damio's face lit up at his response. "Then, new friend, how about we go watch a movie together tonight? What do you think?"

"I have things to do tonight, remember G.H.O.S.T" Shiu replied. He needed to help the ghost that evening, which was already a difficult task. "So, it's impossible."

"Right..." Damio said, feeling sad.

Seeing Damio like that made Shiu feel a little guilty, especially since he was trying so hard to befriend him.

"I'm not doing anything tomorrow, so we can go then," Shiu offered.

Damio's eyes widened in surprise, and then a happy smile spread across his face. "Then tomorrow, it's our first date!"

"Date?"

Damio laughed nervously. "Hehehehehehe, I mean our first friendship date."

"Mm, yeah." Shiu looked at him strangely before standing up. "Let's go back to class, new friend."

"Hahaha!" Damio giggled. "Yeah, let's go."

Shiu walked over and opened the door to the rooftop. As he did, he noticed someone standing in front of him. They had long, pink hair styled to the side, and their slim body lacked any visible muscle. With an angelic appearance and big, sparkling eyes, Shiu had to look down, as he was taller.

"A woman... no, that's not right. Hmm... a man?" Shiu thought, confused. Damio came up behind him and rested his chin on Shiu's right shoulder to see who was blocking their path.

"What are you doing here?" Damio's joyful expression turned indifferent.

"Damio, we have to go back to class," Chichiro began. "It's the first time you've ever missed a class."

"You've been acting strange ever since you started following him. I don't think it's a good idea for you to be friends with him."

Damio's face turned cold. He put Shiu's headphones on his head, and his favorite music began to play. Then he rested his left hand over Shiu's eyes so that he couldn't see or hear anything.

Damio's indifferent gaze landed on Chichiro.

"You—" he began.

"Who are you again?"

Startled by Damio's indifferent expression, Chichiro stammered, "I-I'm Chichiro... We work together on the student council. I came looking for you because it's been a while since you left the cla—"

"I don't remember being close enough to you for you to come all the way up here."

Chichiro's eyes widened in shock. "But I am the vice president of the student council, and we have talked a lot and shar-..."

"It goes without saying that if two people are working together, they will need to talk."

In other words, Damio respected him as a fellow council member and classmate.

Chichiro's shocked eyes stared at the floor; he couldn't dare to look Damio in the eyes. He was scared.

"You've been following my every step for some reason I don't understand. What are you trying to do? Because you're being very annoying, and my patience is running thin," Damio blurted out, trying to contain his anger since he couldn't strangle the guy in front of him.

Seeing Damio's hostile face, Chichiro's eyes began to fill with tears. "I..."

"I'm honestly being very patient. I'm talking to you nicely right now because Shiu is here."

"I... I only wanted—" Chichiro began to say but fell silent upon seeing Damio's expression. He had always known that Damio was a cold, indifferent, and cruel guy. But since Shiu arrived, Damio had been gentle and soft, leading Chichiro to believe he might be changing.

But it seemed he had misunderstood the situation. Damio was only like that when it came to Shiu.

Damio had entered the school last year and was immediately elected president of the student council.

From the moment Chichiro first laid eyes on him last year, he had been drawn to Damio. He was handsome, tall, and fit with an amazing physique. Chichiro couldn't forget him. He convinced the director to make him the vice president just to be close to Damio. But Damio never paid him any attention. He didn't even know who Chichiro was, nor did he care to find out.

Chichiro had tried his best to get Damio to open up to him; he always tried to stand next to him in hopes that Damio would notice him. But a year had passed, and his efforts had been futile.

Chichiro raised his eyes, filled with envy and hatred, toward Shiu. That guy had only been here three weeks, and yet Damio followed him everywhere.

Suddenly, Chichiro sensed a murderous intent. "How dare you give him those looks!"
