Luka showed slight surprise at this request but he didn't protest, leaving momentarily to do as was asked of him.
Elio watched from a distance after Luka's return. The Vampire was surprisingly useful, or perhaps it was his threat to Cielo that did most of the work. Either way, the sick Vampire drank most of the nutritious broth, soon becoming drowsy from being satiated.
As soon as Cielo fell asleep, Luka rose to his feet and made himself scarce without being asked.
Elio didn't stop him, as cold and rude as Luka was to most, he always tried to be on a good behavior whenever he was interacting with Luna or Cielo, especially Cielo.
He bid the housekeeper to take his thanks to her master and then returned to his beloved side.
Luna was still fast asleep, she was curled up on her side, her face pillowed on her hand. Her complexion was rosy, and her breathing was easy; he could finally relax, and even though it was in the middle of the day, he got into the bed beside her.
