When Miles saw Ariana standing beside Lillian, staring at him with pleading puppy eyes, he instantly hardened his heart and sternly said, "No."
Ariana's eyes fell on Lillian.
Lillian spoke out, "The campus has a serene atmosphere. She can have a walk around."
"Even if you make Lillian do your bidding, there is—"
Before her brother could carry on further with his words, Ariana released Lillian and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. Miles paused.
Then, she pecked him repeatedly before letting go of him and voicing out, "What about now?"
Lillian looked the other way to give them privacy.
A small smile broke out on to Miles's lips. "Only for a little while then."
On the drive to her campus, before Lillian could ask her on the details, Ariana started to talk about how her brother and she met.
"Miles and I were childhood sweethearts. Back then, I was a sickly child, and no one wanted to play with me. Who could have thought he had his eyes on me from then?
