Chapter 25 - Stinky Expression

Lillian logged in the account provided to her by Leon.

Since time has passed since she last played the game, Lillian familiarized herself with the setting.

In her previous life, after Eva came home, Lillian tried to get better and better at the game, so that she could get Alex's acknowledgement. She wished to play with him badly.

However, in the end, Eva's silly appearance of not being able to play appeased him more. A careless and rude man like him taught her patiently to play the game despite her messing up all the time.

Lillian felt really confused why he could pay attention to her yet treat her so dismissively when she played better.

"How pathetic," Lillian chided herself once again, recalling the memories of her past.

Tyler nudged her with his shoulder. "Little Sister, even if you mess up, it's alright. I will take the responsibility for you."

"Cut the crap." Jasper's sharp eyes fell on him.

Tyler made a face and shook his head. "Look at his stinky expression."

The room quietened down when the other side came online as well. The casual expression on everyone's face was replaced with solemness.

"I thought you will run away in fear. It seems all of you are here," a message popped up from the other side. It was from a Red Devil member.

Andrew quickly typed a reply. "Scared of you bunch of losers? Do you think we are less capable than you cheaters?"

"Cheaters? We won world championship while you're rotting away in a dirty internet cafe. You're lucky we are giving you this face!"

Tyler's punch fell on the table.

Rage burned in his veins as he responded, "You, Bastards, do you think you had a chance if you competed fairly? The audacity you have to act arrogantly!"

Alex's message followed, "If you want to argue about nonsense, then there is no need to play anymore."

"This bastard acting all high and mighty as if he didn't steal Jasper's position," commented Andrew.

Hearing that made Lillian's eyes fall on Jasper in curiosity.

This wasn't something she heard about in her last life or from the novel.

However, Jasper didn't satisfy her curiosity. He started the game immediately, and the rest entered as well.

As Lillian watched everyone play, she was impressed by Jasper and his friends' skills. No wonder Alex decided to compete with him. They were on the same level.

Although Lillian was far behind them when it came to skills, she analyzed Alex and his team well enough in her previous life to not fall behind. She filled in her role well.

Lillian was quiet and concentrated on the game in the beginning, but slowly her voice began to fill up the room.

"Jasper, go over there. I will shield you!"

"Andrew, Alex will attack you from back next!"

"Move fast, Tyler!"

"Leon, hold on! I am here!"

Lillian's brows were tense, and her wrist ached with the straining. However, biting down on her lower lip, Lillian didn't lose her momentum.

"Lillian, heal me," Tyler's voice rang out.

"Coming," she responded.

"Lillian, keep an eye on the Mid-laner."

"Got it!"

The usual cold nonchalance was replaced, and there was a vibrancy in her dark eyes, making her resemble a normal twenty year old youth.

"Oh shit!" Tyler cursed as he was killed.

However, Jasper then moved fast to kill two of Red Devil's member. The damage done on Red Devil was far greater than them. And with the end move, Jasper took care of Alex.

The game finished with them winning.

"We won!" Tyler exclaimed loudly, raising his hand.

"Yeah!"

Caught up in the moment, a bright smile bloomed on Lillian's face, and she lifted her hand, slapping his.

"You play good, Lillian," Leon commented, "thank you for the support."

Lillian blinked her eyes, realizing how she overreacted. Wearing back her reserved expression, Lillian nodded and sat back on the chair.

"Oh, those bastards will be fuming now! I wish this was being broadcast online so those stupid fans of them could see how much of a loser Red Devils are," Andrew expressed.

"I can't believe they have fans. People be admiring anything these days," chimed in Tyler.

Lillian was rubbing her sore wrist when she felt a pat on her shoulder.

She turned her head to find Jasper standing behind her.

"What do you want to eat?" Jasper asked.

"Fried chicken!"

"Pizza!"

"Beef noodles!"

Jasper didn't respond and kept on staring at Lillian, waiting for her to speak up.

"Steamed dumplings," Lillian slowly replied.

Jasper nodded.

Then, taking out his phone, he ordered four servings of steamed dumplings.

"Eh, Jasper, I wanted fried chicken!" complained Andrew.

"Order and pay by yourself then," Jasper retorted.

Before going back to his seat, Jasper glanced at Lillian and stated, "Well played."

Although Lillian replied with a calm 'hmm', the slight tremble of her fingers expressed her inner emotions.

She thought she had it under control, but the compliment she received caused ripples within her.

It was probably because she lacked them in her previous life.

Soon after, the dumplings arrived. While the men joked around, Lillian concentrated on the dumplings in front of her.

Dipping the soup dumpling in the sauce, she took a bite out of it. As the flavours burst through her tongue, her expression eased due to satisfaction.

"Lillian, if you can't eat all that, you can share with me. I don't mind," voiced out Tyler, pointing at the box of dumplings in front of her.

Hearing that made her furrow her brows. Lillian protectively brought the box closer to her and stared at the man defensively.

"This is enough for me."

Tyler chuckled. "You look like a delicate young lady. But it seems you have quite the appetite. That's good. I like it."

Leon and Andrew made a disgusted expression.

Jasper brought up a chili pepper and placed it in his mouth. As Tyler bit into it, he made a painful expression.

"Don't make me shut that mouth for you," Jasper threatened.

Tyler jumped up as his tongue burned. Grabbing the bottle of soda, he drank it down. Then, breathing with his tongue out to soothe it, he exclaimed, "You're too cruel, Jasper!"
