Chapter 9
As always my expression remained unreadable and I only talked when necessary.
From the conversation I had with Carson I knew I wasn't going to get any answers out of him, another maid had been assigned to serve them when they were at the office, he obviously didn't want me asking questions.
I hadn't seen Carson in the library for the past few days either, I didn't know what was the deal with him, and I only rarely saw them which caused me to have even more questions inside my mind.

I went into the office holding a tray of snacks, for the big bosses,
Note the sarcasm.
I went directly to the coffee table and place the tray down on it, not even minding to look where they were at.
"Shit!!"
I turned to the surprisingly loud voice and saw two guys standing behind one at the computer and another one pacing the space near the others ,they hadn't noticed me yet .
"What's happening , caleb, work faster we're going to loose them! "I heard Lucas say in distress.
"I'm already at my full speed limit, theirs something wrong, I just can't seem to get hold of their code and enter their systems," the person behind the computer who I assumed was caleb replied.
"I'm loosing it completely!"the voice rang again.
"Do whatever it takes ,but don't loose the code "Carson who was pacing and room said running a hand through his hair with a mixture of emotions on his face.
"I can help you,"my voice suddenly sounded making most of them turn to face me ,with caleb's eyes still glued on the screen trying to get control of their situation.
"If you guys want, that's if?"I added in a low voice scanning their faces.
"Are you sure about that?"Lucas asked with a raised eye brow and gave a nod.
He stared at Carson as if asking for his opinion , but Carson didn't say or do anything he simple just looked at me,and I looked at him giving a 'what ever vibe ' through my expression.
He seemed to be deep in thought but he snapped out of it as soon as we heard another , shit, coming from their struggling friend.
"Give her space" he simply just said turning the other direction, Caleb got up from the seat to let me sit, I walked towards them and took the seat , not minding there stares I scanned the computer , to try and identify what I was working with.
After a few seconds my fingers started moving on the keyboard in a quick rate but I kept truck of every move I made, to avoid causing any mistakes.
I could feel the anxiety growing between the men but I didn't dought myself for a second, my fingers kept moving in a rhythm,my eyes focused on the screen,my feet taping lightly on the ground and my chest pounding in anticipation.
The room was silent as the three men standing besides me want all quiet just staring at the screen as I worked my magic.
I used to have a very sharp memory since I was young, and the fact that my mom used to leave her computer unguarded, gave me an opportunity to learn a lot at a young age, of course it got me into trouble when my mom found out , but even that didn't stop me and by the time I was seventeen, I was pretty good at computers and hacking then most people.
"Come on!"I chanted under my breath as my fingers reduced their pace but still quick.
My fingers froze above the keyboard as I stared at the numbers displayed on the screen without wasting anymore time I took the pen and an open note book that layed besides the computer and scribbled the code down , before the code disappeared on the screen.
Their was nothing but silence washing over the room, I placed my hands on my lap and wiped the sweat off my palms, taking in a breath mant to relax my nerves after that heart pounding moment.
"It's done, "I finally managed to say my voice low but audible,a hint of relief carried in it .
I pushed the chair back, slightly and stood up turning to leave, and all of a sudden the three men blew into joyful laughs and excited smilies, I felt a hands grab my shoulders and I was Shaked vigorously .
when the pervert stopped, it took me a few seconds the get my brain back together and for my eyes to get back their focus.
I was met by a beautiful pair of bright green eyes,that stared at me with excitement and joy.
"You did it!"Lucas exclaimed his voice wrapped up with happiness, his hands still holding onto my shoulders, ever so gently.
"Yeah"I managed to whisper a small curl up on my lips, and before I knew it he gave me a quick hug that ended as soon as it started.
I stared at his face and for the first time I felt a spread of happiness within me, just starting at his wide smile and bright eyes.
It wasn't only him but also Caleb and the other guy I had given advice to the other day but didn't really now his name.
Just then my eyes flashed to Carson, and he was already staring at me, amusement lingering In his eyes, I didn't really know if it was the fact that I managed to get the code or the fact that their was an uninvited smile that spread on my face .
"I can't believe you did it! "Lucas broke me out of my daze with his excited voice .
"I can't believe she managed to do that"Caleb said in awe as he stared at the computer in disbelieve and amusement.
"Especially when you couldn't"the other guy added teasingly, giving calub a look of fake disappointment.
Caleb hissed at him then turned to me a wide smile appearing on his face, and gosh!, every single one of these men looked captivating.
Caleb had light brown hair and beautiful brown eyes, his features honestly more to the cute side, and I liked it .
The other guy from before, with a darker shade of brown hair and a pair of pale green eyes, that were captivating in there own way, his features mostly sharp.
"There's no time to wast , get back to work "Carson's voice suddenly broke through the excitement as dark and cold as always ."all of you"he added.
The guys smiles disappeared and I couldn't help but feel a sting of anger within me, why did he have to be such a fun killer.
"I think I should go now "I said pointing at the door with my thumb .
Lucas gave me a slight nod and a reassuring smile ,and so did the other two, excluding Carson of course.
I left , I wasn't going to stay there any longer or I would end up lashing out at Carson.
