At Elizabeth's insistence, she followed everyone to Baste Prison.
In fact, the outline of Baste Prison could be seen from the town. Getting closer made it even clearer.
Drake didn't know what the person who built Baste Prison had been thinking; why had they built a war fortress like this?
The prison looked like a giant cluster of mushrooms, and didn't look like it could have any military use at all.
Before they could even approach Baste Prison's perimeter, everyone noticed the dark clouds approaching in the sky.
Listening to the buzzing sound, it wasn't dark clouds at all, but a swarm of countless insects.
And the source of the swarm was the strangely shaped Baste Prison.
"Uwaa!"
It was Diane who made the mournful cry. She took a step back, hugging her shoulders, saying, "I hate bugs!"
Stella also touched her upper arm, feeling goosebumps all over her body from seeing so many bugs.
However, Stella wouldn't avoid things that made her uncomfortable; she would eliminate them.
"Heaven-Burning Earth-Scorching Dragon King Flame!"
Although those bugs all had a faint amount of magic power, they were inherently fragile, so how could they withstand Stella's scorching dragon flames?
The smell of burning protein made everyone frown, but it was definitely easier not having to face those poisonous bugs.
"Damn it, how dare you burn my little darlings!"
A female voice rang out, and a Holy Knight wearing insect armor and wielding a double-headed whip approached from afar, swinging the whip at Stella.
Stella raised her Dragon Slayer Sword, blocking the incoming whip.
The Holy Knight, Freesia, used the whip to wrap around Stella's weapon, wanting to pull her towards herself, but she felt like the whip had wrapped around a large mountain, and couldn't pull it at all.
That was to be expected; without Drake activating any burst magic, Stella's physical strength alone was unmatched.
Don't ask how Drake knew; he had tried his best to break free when Stella pinned him down, but hadn't been able to escape.
Stella was the real deal, possessing the monstrous strength of a dragon. A second-rate Holy Knight wanting to pull her was just wishful thinking.
Just as cold sweat was dripping down Freesia's forehead beneath her helmet, the ground beneath her feet suddenly shook.
"So you're the one releasing the bugs, huh?"
Diane stepped forward, shattering the ground, and appeared before Freesia, throwing a punch.
With a bang, a large crater appeared in the ground, with cracks spreading out for more than ten meters. Freesia, her armor shattered, lay in the center of the crater, her limbs bent at strange angles; she probably wouldn't be able to stand up for at least a few months.
After defeating this female Holy Knight, everyone didn't relax.
Meliodas, holding his short rod, said, "The guys hiding to the side can come out now!"
Judging from his tone, he wouldn't show any mercy if they continued to hide.
As soon as he finished speaking, two people walked out from behind a nearby thicket.
They were a middle-aged man and a boy wearing a pointed hat, looking like a harmless father and son who were just passing by.
But Drake quickly noticed the strange staff that the boy was holding. The wooden staff had a ring at the top, and a metal bell hung in the center of the ring.
As the boy moved, the bell made a clear sound, and Drake keenly noticed the magic power being transmitted from that sound.
"Please don't hurt us; we're just travelers passing by!"
"We ran into poisonous bugs earlier, and almost died; thank you for saving us."
The middle-aged man raised his hands, indicating that he wasn't a dangerous person. The boy even ran towards the group with tears in his eyes, and as he ran, the bell rang even more urgently.
Drake sighed; this clumsy acting was being used on them; couldn't these villains be a little more professional?
Putting aside the staff that was emitting magic power, what kind of child would abandon his father and run towards a group of strangers, especially when there was a giant among them?
Drake really couldn't watch anymore, and took a step forward, appearing before the boy and grabbing his head, slamming him heavily into the ground.
The shocked expression on the boy's face hadn't disappeared, and that face was distorted along with his body.
He really didn't understand how he had been exposed; his magic power was hypnosis, and the medium was the bell on his staff.
As long as they heard the bell, he could make his opponents see what he wanted them to see, and hear what he wanted them to hear. But this unknown man had seen through his disguise.
The Holy Knight, Jude, was the leader of the Weird Fangs knight order, and had relied on his hypnosis magic power to defeat countless opponents in the past.
But now, he was being pressed firmly against the ground, unable to break free.
Drake looked at Jude's armor, which resembled the famous torture device the Iron Maiden, and had no interest in explaining to him where he had revealed his flaws, but only increased the force on the helmet.
Jude swung his staff, slamming it hard on Drake's shoulder. The wooden staff shattered, and the bell fell to the ground.
Drake didn't move an inch; aside from his hypnosis power, this Holy Knight really had nothing else to offer.
The female-like mask began to deform and crack, and blood flowed from the cracks. Soon, Jude's hand fell limply, and he lost consciousness.
Elizabeth had wanted to say something when Drake moved, but had been stopped by Meliodas.
Only after seeing Jude reveal his true face did she understand what had happened, and couldn't help but feel somewhat guilty for having misunderstood Drake.
Drake ignored Elizabeth's complex emotions, saying, "The Weird Fangs knight order has four Holy Knights; we've already dealt with three, so the last one should be much easier."
Meliodas put the short rod back into his belt, saying, "Even if there were four, it would be just as easy for you, right!"
Drake smiled, neither confirming nor denying it.
After dealing with the two Holy Knights blocking the way, the group continued forward, soon arriving outside Baste Prison.
The middle-aged man who had been with Jude was also a soldier from Baste Prison, and had been forced to lead the group to the prison entrance.
Drake twitched his nose, saying, "That's strange; there's no one here. But there are two scents."
Drake confirmed the two scents; one was full of vitality, and Drake could confirm that it was the Seven Deadly Sins member who had drunk from the Fountain of Youth and obtained immortality, Ban, the Fox's Sin of Greed.
What was strange was that Ban, who should have been a prisoner, was walking around freely, and seemed to have heard that Meliodas was coming, so he had escaped from prison himself.
The other scent belonged to a female, and was faint; it should be Dr. Dana's daughter.
Not having time to play hide-and-seek with Ban, the group first rescued Dana's daughter, who was being held captive.
Fortunately, aside from being frightened by Diane and fainting, the girl hadn't been injured.
Coincidentally, the moment they turned around, the group encountered a man with his upper body bare.
