Chapter 96 - Chapter 96:

Chapter 96:

Cha Wrath tried to drop its center of gravity, but Godzilla had already wrapped both arms around its right leg. This was the most dangerous position possible.

If Godzilla exerted force, the Emperor-class Titan would go down—and once a Titan goes down, it doesn't get back up.

Godzilla lifted. The sole of Cha Wrath's right foot left the ground and kept rising. The Titan's center of mass shifted badly, the whole frame starting to tip backward.

"Damn, damn—he's actually lifting it?!"

'Hff—this Emperor-class really isn't light!!!'

Godzilla estimated that if Cha Wrath were any bigger, he might not be able to lift it at all.

'My current stats are still too low.'

[Be content. How many 40K transmigrators can physically beat an Emperor-class Titan?]

'…Probably none.'

Balance lost, the giant engine tilted. No matter how the crew fought the controls, once Cha Wrath's center shifted, there was no getting it back.

'Haaaah——!!!'

Godzilla roared and heaved.

Cha Wrath fell.

The impact shook the earth, made the hive-city groan, and even the distant firefights paused for a heartbeat.

"."

Abaddon's face darkened.

The Chaos Warmaster drew a long breath through his teeth.

"Cha Wrath… is finished."

Even during the Horus Heresy, Emperor-class Titans almost never went down like this. Killing one was hard—toppling one was unheard of. But Godzilla was already moving for the ruthless teardown.

He stamped on the left shoulder joint, clamped both claws around the assault cannon arm—and pulled.

Metal screamed. The entire left arm tore free.

With both primary weapons gone, Cha Wrath had only hull and carapace secondaries left. Against Godzilla, that was nothing. A crab without claws. Not dead—just one step away.

Godzilla tossed the torn assault cannon behind him. In that moment, he had likely inflicted more damage on the Black Legion than some Imperial crusades managed in a millennium.

'Satisfied. One Emperor-class dismantled. Hope there are more to take apart later.'

[There will be.]

Imperial Titans were few; Chaos, ork gargants, tyranid bio-titans—there were others to come.

Godzilla planted a foot on Cha Wrath's chassis. Armless, the Emperor-class could only writhe and try to roll.

"Impossible! How could we be defeated?!"

"Move! Cha Wrath, move!!!"

Even if the Titan tried to rise, it would only meet Godzilla's weight. There was no standing up again. It was over.

Godzilla began charging his finisher.

'After hands-on, always finish with light. That's tokusatsu!!!'

Energy spiked. Cha Wrath's crew watched the radiation levels climb and could do nothing.

"Max the void shield! One last push!!!"

"We won't die here! We are Titan crew—we won't die here!!!"

Crew and daemonic machine-spirit merged in one final struggle—machine, flesh, and filthy souls straining to live.

But their opponent was Godzilla—

a being that never believed in "bloodline privilege" and trampled every "what if."

The radioactive beam lanced from Godzilla's jaws at near point-blank range. Cha Wrath's void shield flared to full, meeting the ray head-on.

The impact was brutal.

Concentric ripples hammered across the shield. Overload warnings shrieked. Sparks spat through the command sanctum. The pilots and the bound machine-spirit howled the same word, again and again—live, live, live!

They did not.

The void shield collapsed. In the instant the generator tripped out, the ray punched straight through the command bastion. The crew died in a flash. The beam didn't stop— it bored through Cha Wrath's entire body, then slammed into Cadia's bedrock, triggering a violent quake.

The earthquake rippled across the front, throwing both Imperial and Chaos lines into chaos.

Emperor-class Titans on the field: –1.

If the Emperor could move, he would have applauded. Dismantle them all—especially those who had marched on Holy Terra. Cha Wrath had been among them.

"What terrifying power."

From a high vantage, Lord Castellan Creed looked toward the distant battlefield. Godzilla stood over a smoking chasm and roared, claiming the field.

"Simply… a god."

"No," a tech-priest intoned, voice trembling through vox-grilles, "the one who defeats the God-Machine—is a god."

The red-robed priests all but wept oil. Even without tear ducts, their spirits were overflowing.

"Godzilla—what a sacred name. Praise the Omnissiah, praise Godzilla!"

For those cogboys, the only "gods" worthy of reverence were the Emperor and—now—Godzilla. Their conviction was absolute.

Creed nodded. Anyone who shielded Cadia deserved respect—stance and species be damned.

If someone helps you and you still try to kill them—no one would accept that. No sane Inquisitor would, either.

"Even so, Cadia can't hold forever. Where is our relief?"

"Our signals can't get out, Lord Castellan!"

"Then we hold until the other sectors notice something is wrong with Cadia."

"It's bad, my lord!"

A soldier practically kicked the command door open.

"The void shield engine has been infiltrated—traitor forces are assaulting it!"

Creed swore.

"Damn it! We knew their target was the shield. Don't tell me the posted units still couldn't stop them?!"
