Chapter 88 - Chapter 88:

Chapter 88

The arrival of Abaddon instantly pushed the war for Cadia to a new level of intensity. Within moments, Cadia's fleet came under withering firepower.

The Genesis was also locked into the enemy barrage.

But the Genesis was no ordinary ship—it was a heavily refitted battleship. It wasn't going to sink so easily.

Still, the crew couldn't ignore what loomed ahead.

"What the hell is that?!"

"It's… it's as big as the Phalanx!"

Through the void, they saw it: the Blackstone Fortress.

The gargantuan construct resembled two overlapping eight-pointed stars, each arm bristling with impossible geometry. In its shadow, battleships looked like children's toys. To call it a small planet would hardly be an exaggeration.

The Blackstone Fortress was infamous—its size so vast it could sustain its own ecosystem, even containing webway portals within. And next to it, another nightmare hung in orbit:

The Planet Killer.

Its prow bristled with colossal gun batteries, the massive cannon at its core powerful enough to tear a planet in half with a single shot.

Together, the two weapons embodied Abaddon's confidence in crushing Cadia.

On the ground, Erebus had already slipped away amid the chaos of the nuclear detonation.

"Run away? No," Isis muttered coldly. She knew Chameleon Stalkers were already shadowing him. But this wasn't the time to give chase.

Even Godzilla lifted his head to the void.

Here you come, Abaddon.

From orbit, Abaddon began issuing commands.

"First fleet, cover the Blackstone Fortress.

Second fleet, move up and engage.

I want Cadia's fleet destroyed within the day!"

His gaze shifted toward another annoyance: a massive planet in the nearby system, radiating a presence he despised.

Godzilla's planet.

"World Eaters—drop-pod assault! Secure that world before Cadia falls!"

The XII Legion, brutal shock troops of Chaos, were once again thrown into the grinder. Their fate? To be beaten by Godzilla—again.

It hardly mattered to them. Whether they fought humans, daemons, or titans, the World Eaters were slaves to the Butcher's Nails. All they craved was bloodshed.

Drop-pods streaked through the atmosphere of Planet Godzilla, slamming into the surface.

Isis glanced at Katata.

"Is that all right with you, sister?"

Katata's answer was cold and sure.

"No problem."

She stood on Mechagodzilla's armored shoulder, watching the pods burn across the sky. As they landed, their hatches burst open, creating footholds of scorched earth.

From one pod emerged a giant clad in blood-red plate, long rabbit-like crests rising from his helm. Twin chainaxes roared in his fists as he bellowed:

"For the Blood God!!!"

The World Eaters poured forth, hacking at anything they could kill.

Katata returned inside the cockpit, gripping the controls. Mechagodzilla stirred to life beneath her. Unlike Godzilla himself, the machine was still dormant—its organic cells hadn't awakened. Until then, Katata would guide it.

The war machine strode forward, its shadow falling across the charging World Eaters.

Reports reached Abaddon.

"A titan-sized unit detected—fifty meters tall."

Abaddon sneered.

"Just one? Who do they think they're facing?"

He raised a gauntleted hand.

"Drop the Titans."

Moments later, three massive shapes pierced the void, burning through Cadia's atmosphere like falling stars.

Three Khorne Lord of Battle Titans.

Their comet-like descent sent shockwaves across the planet's surface. Even the native kaiju scattered before their arrival. Only Mechagodzilla stood unshaken, raising its head to roar in challenge.

"If we lose," Katata whispered, adjusting her goggles and gripping the controls, "it will shame my god."

One against three. She was ready.

The Chaos Titans were grotesque to behold, armored in crimson plate drenched in blood, their hulls bristling with spikes and chains. One bore a giant chainaxe that shrieked as it spun, another carried a daemon-forged skull cannon belching heat and warpflame.

Their name was whispered in fear: Disaster Lords.

"Crush it," Abaddon ordered.

The three Chaos Titans opened fire, their cannons unleashing a storm of shells. Even Godzilla himself would have felt the sting of such bombardment.

But Katata only pressed a large, glowing red button on her console.

With a VMMMM, Mechagodzilla's void shield flared, soaking the blasts. Its dorsal fins shimmered, drinking in the energy until they glowed faintly crimson. Not enough—but a start.

Katata smirked.

"That all you've got? My turn."

From Mechagodzilla's back, twin triple rotary cannons rose, locking into place over its shoulders. The barrels spun, spitting a torrent of shells that hammered the Titans' void shields. The battle had begun in earnest.

Mechagodzilla charged, claws and tail whipping forward. The Chaos Titans answered with their roaring chainaxes, each impact shaking the very earth.

It was a battle of monsters—steel against daemon-forged steel.

Only one regret lingered: Godzilla himself wasn't here to see it.

But that hardly mattered. Everyone knew the true battle awaited elsewhere—where Cadia itself trembled under Abaddon's assault.

The planet's fleet was dwindling. Drop-pods rained into its atmosphere. Across the surface, cultists carved open portals with their own blood, summoning daemons through the cracks.

The Black Crusade had come in full.
