Chapter 83-Fever
Aaron glanced away from Raymond weakly, his ears ringing from his nagging and voice. It was like what he was saying was echoing in his ears and made his head thump vigorously. Aaron never knew a voice could trigger a headache.
After he left Katherine's apartment—heartbroken yet furious at himself for not deleting Amanda since day one—he regretted every decision of his. He should have taken Raymond's question seriously yesterday. He'd thought Amanda would have sat still and waited till the contract expiration, and he would divorce her and pay her, but yet Amanda destroyed everything for her.
Aaron picked up his phone to call his PA to contact the lawyer when his phone screen blinked, chiming as Raymond's call flashed in.
Painstakingly, Aaron swiped to green and held the phone to his ear. The phone nearly fell from his hand from loss of energy. "Hello," his voice sounded scratchy, rough, yet weak.
