Chapter 32
Aaron stretched his arms above his head tiredly and leaned back into the lounge chair, groaning slightly as the pressure eased off his neck. He had spent the entire morning reviewing pending contracts his PA had sent him. He needed to go back to work. He knew his PA was capable, but the pressing matter with Katherine was still holding him back.
He sighed. He needed a break from staring at the screen too much before his eyes started to sting. He took his phone out to check a new SMS from his PA and grunted. This man didn't want him to rest at all.
He closed his eyes, caressed his eyeballs, letting his head fall back on the chair rim. He just needed some minutes. Then something blurred past the lounge doorway.
Fast.
He sat up straight immediately. The silhouette looked familiar. He tilted his head, frowning.
Katherine?
Her hair was in a messy bun as she walked faster, her shoulders tense with a furrowed brow, and she clutched her phone like her life depended on it.
