Chapter 707 - Rescue

"Holy Beam!"

"Begone!"

Galen's voice reverberated across the ocean. Not only in this immediate sea area, but even along the western coast of Khaz Modan, Galen's divine power permeated the very air.

The sea surface beneath the Kul Tiras warship churned violently. Foul-smelling blood and bubbles erupted from the seabed, transforming the once-blue water into a murky black and purple, tainted by the power of chaos. Then, accompanied by the pained roar of an injured deep-sea monster, a colossal, tumor-like head breached the surface.

Clearly, Galen's immediate intervention—a beam of light that pierced the depths—had inflicted such severe injury upon the terrifying Ozumat that it abandoned the prey at its very maw! Jaina and the sailors on the ship gazed with indescribable fear. They beheld more than a dozen densely packed compound eyes on the monstrous head, gleaming with undisguised resentment and terror.

The crew members trembled under the horrifying gaze of those compound eyes. Only the female sorceress, Jaina, managed to control her gaze enough to look downwards. She saw that the body beneath the giant beast's head was already covered in grievous wounds. The chaotic power continued to surge from the creature's body, attempting to mend its shattered limbs. However, Galen's Holy Light power could not be so easily purged. Ozumat struggled for a long time, but its wounds continued to gush blood.

The deep-sea monster knew it had lost the chance to fight. Seeing Stromgarde's fleet rapidly approaching, it realized it wouldn't even have a chance to escape if it delayed any further!

"Ooooh!" The deep-sea monster roared in unwilling agony, then, in extreme pain, it plunged back into the dark sea without a backward glance.

The vitality of this deep-sea monster was incredibly tenacious. Galen had not expected to slay it with a long-range. In truth, Galen had merely intended to sever Ozumat's tentacles to save Jaina and the others.

With the departure of the Deep Sea Evil God, the crew members felt the crushing pressure vanish. The soul-crushing dread they had just experienced had nearly suffocated them.

"Oh! The monster ran away!"

"We survived!"

"God of the sea, this is simply a miracle!"

The crew members who had survived the disaster cheered, truly believing they had escaped death this time! But now was not the time for relaxation. The giant beast's corrosive blood had splattered across the deck, and even half-severed tentacles still twitched in the corners. The corrosion on their bodies also needed immediate attention, lest they too transform into monsters under the void's insidious erosion!

"Left full rudder!"

"Maintain course, Stromgarde's fleet awaits us ahead!"

At Jaina's command, her sole remaining ship reunited with Galen's fleet.

"Brother Galen! Long time no see!"

Jaina shimmered from her own ship to Galen's bow. After jogging a few steps towards him, she composed her excited expression and offered Galen a noble greeting. Galen carefully examined Jaina's damaged mage cannon, and after confirming she was unharmed, he asked, "Anna, why are you here?"

"It's good to see you,Galen!"

Jaina then explained her presence in this sea area. Although the deployment of Stromgarde's First Fleet was no secret within the Alliance, it wasn't common knowledge. The reason Jaina knew Galen's destination was that Drake had just sent someone to deliver Galen's ship before its departure, and Jaina happened to learn Galen's destination from her brother.
