Chapter 30 - OPRS: Chapter 30

Alistair looked up at him, a smile on his face.

He hadn't expected to be able to win William over so easily, but in reality, he hadn't hidden any of his actions. Especially towards William and Wood, they were both standing next to him while he was chatting with Marguerite, and they had witnessed his every move.

It was precisely because of this that William accepted Alistair's goodwill.

This was fundamentally different from being forced to submit under the name of the Empress, a Shichibukai.

The atmosphere on the entire ship relaxed after the fishing trip.

William was completely convinced by Alistair, he lowered his body slightly as a sign of respect, and asked Alistair, "Is there anything else you need my help with?"

"No, from now on, you just watch." Alistair laughed. With William's support, he could truly spread his wings on this ship, unfettered.

"Everyone, split into groups. Those who don't know how to fish, come help out. These fish will be bad to eat if they go bad!" Alistair shouted.

The pirates looked at each other. Even though they were full of banditry, they had to acknowledge Alistair's kindness. Immediately, a few people stood up from the side of the ship and walked over, forming teams with the few who were already working, and began to prepare the fish.

The rest didn't stop. They were still diligently fishing. They couldn't eat that many fish. Some of the fish were taller than a person, but the people in the One Piece world, especially the pirates of the Grand Line, wouldn't be afraid of them. Once they were caught, the fish, almost bigger than pigs, were enough for a dozen people to eat a meal. They were sixty or seventy people fishing. Catching three or four fish would be enough to feed everyone.

But now, they had finally found an entertainment activity. Whether they were fishing, catching fish, or filleting fish, everyone was happy and having fun. So, this wasteful activity didn't stop, but continued until a giant sea beast was attracted.

This sea beast, which looked like a seal, was incredibly large, almost as big as the ship. It leaped up, trying to jump onto the deck and feast, but it completely forgot that there were two sea kings on the ship in front of it.

Although they weren't giant sea kings, it was still a piece of cake for the two serpents to eat such a sea beast. The two serpents that were pulling the ship didn't expect this unexpected opportunity. They dived into the sea, flicked their tails, and instantly crossed the hundred-meter distance between the two ships. They emerged from the sea, one on each side.

Not only were the pirates on the pirate ship shocked, but the giant seal, who had come uninvited and still had a fish in its mouth, looked at the two serpents that had suddenly appeared, its body stiff.

The serpents didn't bother with it. One bit the seal's tail, the other bit its head, and they pulled with all their might, instantly dismembering the seal. One serpent took half. They swallowed the seal whole, including the scraps. Blood splattered all over the ship. It looked like the ship had just been washed with blood. It was terrifying.

The two serpents weren't full yet. Their eyes, bigger than a person's, scanned the ship. Luckily, Marguerite was still on board. She muttered a few words, and the two serpents dived back into the sea, returning to the front of the Kuja Pirates' "Perfume Yuda" ship, continuing to pull the ship forward.

Only then did everyone on the pirate crew finally breathe a sigh of relief. They all collapsed onto the deck.

Alistair shrugged helplessly and said to Marguerite, "Now you know why I want high-level combat power."

Marguerite giggled. She was already a firm member of the Shichibukai's cadre, already stronger than 99% of the people in the world. Naturally, she didn't have the same sense of oppression as those on the Curved Sword Pirates. But if Alistair took her into a battle between the Yonko, then her sense of powerlessness would probably be even stronger than those on the Curved Sword Pirates.

Ultimately, it was perspective that determined everything. You couldn't force them too much.

With the arrival of the serpents, the atmosphere on the ship was instantly wiped away. Everyone returned to the reality of being prisoners. The relaxed and happy atmosphere was gone.

Of course, they finally realized something that Captain "Devil's Luck" William had already realized. That was, Alistair came to their ship and acted friendly with them, calling them brothers, because he had the ability, the strength, and the confidence to do so.

And his ability to do so didn't mean they could really treat him like a weak, inexperienced rookie who had just boarded the ship. The faces of those who had been egging him on showed a look of trepidation. They were worried that Alistair would settle the score later.

"You know you're scared, right?" Alistair, standing on the railing, grabbed the cable and said loudly.

"Knowing you're scared, acknowledging your weakness, that's not shameful."

"Just like I can't beat most of you, all of you together can't beat Marguerite alone."

"Acknowledging your weakness means you're still alive, you still have the potential to grow infinitely, instead of dying here, becoming an arrogant fool."

"I like you pirates."

"Of course, your crimes are all heinous. Your punishment should be death a hundred times over. But at least you have a heart that yearns for freedom. At least you have a heart that doesn't bow to tyranny. It's because of this that I didn't let the Amazons kill you. I think you're still useful."

Alistair's words were full of arrogance and condescension, but under the threat of the two serpents, it was the most appropriate arrogance. The pirates scoffed inwardly, but they all acknowledged that Alistair's words were true. This was the world, this was reality.

It was best if they could face reality.

"I'm going to train you into a group of well-trained warriors, to fight the Marines, like real soldiers. You'll need not only the will of steel, but also the will to stand still even when you bleed."

"I'm sure you don't believe that anyone in this world can do that."

"But don't worry, those who survive can be reborn." Alistair sneered, clearly abandoning his illusions about them, abandoning the idea of joining them as an example. He adapted to the situation, completely reshaping their bodies and minds with force.
