Once in his room, Rino was standing, fully dressed and looked at himself for the last time in the mirror. Adjusting his tie, he exhaled softly.
Then, in a soft whisper, he murmured to himself—
"It is time."
He found himself on the corridors that led to the stairs down the building, and soon, he reached the garage and alighted into his car, zooming off.

The hall where the Auction took place, the grand hall of the Federal Auction House, was a great sight to behold. The building screamed prestige, old money, proved government prestige and also advertised architectural finesse.
Marble floors shone as a result of their polishing, reflecting the gold-crimson chandeliers that hung overhead like celestial fireflies. On the wall, different frames and portraits of past governors, bureaucratic ministers and giants, plus economic developers who had helped shape Esme into what it was today, hung.
'Soon, my portrait would be added to the queue. And in a very special way,' Rino thought.
