"Naturally, the Crown Prince deserves death."
The chancellors gasped all at once, some rooted in disbelief at what they must term outrageous words, others wearing a mask of indifference because they believed it was all merely bluffing.
Afterall, the Crown Prince was backed by the Duke of Belmore and Shantaville all together. He was not one that could be executed easily.
And weren't they right? Not to mention that most of them merely gave her face because she happened to be the daughter of the Sea Grace himself. As ridiculously pitiful as that sounded, that was a truth and reality that wormed itself within this council walls.
But it was a truth she wished to shatter for Ember, and a reality she would scourge for her.
She turned her head, half tilted to the man seated behind her. "What do you think about that, your royal majesty?" She asked in a voice like silk.
