**Wildfire—Audiomachine**
Ember stilled for a second m like a mouse cornered by a cat.
Then she smiled.
"Master, even you should have heard that Valeria BlueBlood falls on the deranged part of the crowd." She said easily, although it was a desperate attempt to mask her slip before the uncanny man.
She wasn't about to let Calliok Vex know that she was, in fact, responsible for the death of Valeria's brother. Or at least, her blood was responsible.
Either way, she was confident that the woman demanding to see her was for all the wrong reasons. And she was beginning to have a nagging suspicion that Valeria could have been behind her strangle-like dream, or was it a trance.
The timing was just uncanny—Valeria appearing right after she woke up from the dream. Not to mention Khaos's warning….
