Ember got into Aeron's carriage without a thought for what she was doing, only to behold a stranger already seated in the carriage as well.
A young man that looked… strange.
It wasn't until the said man smiled did Ember realize what was wrong.
He wasn't a man. Or rather, she wasn't a man but a young woman dressed in man's clothing.
"Beholding such rare beauty, you must be the top beauty Princess Royal Elara Thorne." The woman said in a husky voice that could be interpreted as a man's voice depending on the perspective.
"Who… who are you?" Ember asked since Aeron didn't look like he was getting on the carriage anytime soon to make the necessary introductions.
"I am Lorayne. Guard and personal maid of Master Aeron."

"Nice to meet you Loraine." Ember said, noting that even for a woman posing as a man, she was tastefully dressed. Nothing like a maid in the least.
