"Can you… not tell her that I'm awake?"
The nurse blinked. "Eh? Not tell her? But—"

"Just for a while. I want to see her reaction."
"When she walks in… thinking I'm still unconscious."
The nurse exchanged a glance with the doctor, who gave a faint smirk and nodded.
Kyouko stepped into the hospital lobby, the soft click of her heels barely audible against the polished floor.
Her purse rested lightly on her shoulder.
She pressed the elevator button, waiting patiently as the doors opened with a quiet chime.
A few nurses passed by and bowed politely.

On her way to Room 324.
Her eyes softened.

The elevator doors closed, and Kyouko leaned gently against the mirrored wall.
Smiling.
