Chapter 154 - Bloodline Core

As Zhuyun finished explaining about her soul ring, the sky darkened. Black clouds churned and lightning split the heavens, until a column of golden thunder poured down, scattering into countless glowing cards.

Each one floated before them, glowing faintly with sacred inscriptions revealing the content of the test and the requirements for their next trial. Then, the God of the Ocean's voice rolled across the sky like thunder:

"The Second Test begins!"

Xiao Wu's card shimmered in her hand. She tilted her head, reading the words aloud, her brows knitting in confusion.

"The Second Test: Cross the Round Ocean's blockade? Break through the blockade and reach the far shore—without killing a single ocean soul beast—within 365 days."

The others also found that their tasks were almost identical. Tang Yin, however, had one additional restriction. His eyes narrowed as he read: "I'm prohibited from using soul skills."

Instead of worry, a faint grin tugged at his lips. Facing Xiao Bai, the 100,000-year-old beast, didn't daunt him in the slightest. He was very confident that his body alone carried strength that could rival a titled douluo.

Bo Saixi was about to guide them to their next destination when she noticed Tang Yin looking at her. He was slowly walking toward her, yet she didn't understand why a strange sense of expectation stirred within her.

"Priestess, can I ask you for a favor?" Tang Yin said, catching her off guard. She had assumed he would have no trouble passing the second test, yet she paused, considering, and asked:

"Are you worried about your Eighth Soul Ring? There's one soul beast I captured that might be suitable for you. Don't worry—there are plenty of evil soul beasts over 100,000 years old you can hunt in the sea, and the Sea God allows hunting them."

Tang Yin shook his head. "No, it's something else. Do you have any experience with Soul Core formation? I want to form a Bloodline Core to accelerate my cultivation."

Bo Saixi's face turned red, and she coughed to hide her embarrassment before nodding. "Yes, I know about Soul Cores, but I'm not familiar with Bloodline Cores. If you want, I can share my experience with forming a Soul Core."

Tang Yin immediately agreed. Bo Saixi began with a brief introduction on Soul Cores facts:

"A Soul Core is the condensed crystallization of one's spirit power, it is the embodiment of one's comprehension of the martial soul. The origin of power determines one's permanent amplification and affinity along that path."

The girls also perked up in interest as Bo Saixi continued, "It also functions as a storage unit, reducing loss, aiding recovery, and allowing voluntary control. Soul Cores are condensed within the body as cultivation progresses...."

An hour later—

"Alright it's time" muttured Tang Yin as he sank to the floor, sitting cross legged and closed his eyes. Nearby, Bo Saixi and his lovers watched him in anticipation as they wanted to witness him form a Bloodline Core.

Although they knew Dugu Yan had obtained a Soul core but what Tang Yin was trying to form wasn't a soul core. Even Bo Saixi couldn't help and provide any useful tips on this subject.

But for Tang Yin this wasn't a blind experiment. The vast knowledge of Soul Core information from the original story and studying Dugu Bo's soul core alongside Bo Saixi's instructions had prepared him for this.

Placing a hand on his chest, Tang Yin felt his Blue Silver Heart. The Blue Silver Emperor bloodline within him pulsed, sending threads of shimmering light that twisted and flowed like molten blue-gold.

"Let's do this." He muttered.

He sat in perfect stillness, mind and body in complete harmony. Thanks to his Spirit Body, every fiber, every organ, responded to his will with absolute precision.

Blue Silver Emperor bloodline surged through him like a living river, and he guided it expertly, threading its immense power into the very center of his being—his heart.

"I'm going to form my Bloodline Core inside of my Blue Silver Heart, since it shares the same origin as my Blue Silver Emperor." Tang Yin steeled his resolve and pressed on.

Within the Blue Silver Heart, the essence of his lineage—the Life Force, Resilient Force and Devouring Force—whirled in a storm of vital, vibrant, and vicious energy.

Normally, such a surge would drain even the strongest cultivator, but unparalleled control of his Spirit body allowed Tang Yin to mold it with surgical precision, letting it condense slowly and deliberately, without a shred of chaos.

Bit by bit, the energies wove together, forming a shimmering crystallization deep in his heart. The three attributes intertwined seamlessly, without any side effects. This was no ordinary soul core—it was the Bloodline Core, a unique creation containing an Ultimate Attributes and two Extreme Attribute without conflict.

As the final strands fused, the core pulsed in rhythm with his heartbeat, sending a steady, resonant hum throughout his veins.

From this moment, his bloodline core would evolve in tandem with the purity and growth of his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, each step of cultivation amplifying both.

The glow of the core reflected perfect harmony between body, soul, and lineage—a testament to power refined, controlled, and absolute. All of it flowing together, unified, and powerful.

Tang Yin opened his eyes, and a small smile tugged at his lips. He slowly rose, the pulse of the core syncing with his own heartbeat. The girls saw his satisfied smile and knew he had likely succeeded.

"This Bloodline Core is mine," he introduced. "As my bloodline grows, so will it. It enhances my soul skills, reduces the power required to use them, and accelerates both my cultivation speed and soul power recovery."

Zhuqing eyes lit up as she asked, "can we also create a soul core Tang Yin?" But he shook his head much to her disappointment.

"I can help you create one, but it won't be very useful for you right now. Wait until you gain an Ultimate Attribute—only then will the soul core grant an astronomical power boost," he said, confident they would achieve it in the future.

He motioned to Huo Wu. "You can choose to create one with your Ultimate Fire now, but I suggest doing it right before you reach Titled Douluo level to avoid any risk." She nodded in agreement, not in a hurry to create one.

Xiao Wu frowned, leaning close to whisper in his ear, making him squirm. "Tang Yin… can I create a Bloodline Core for myself too? You know I have the Soft-Boned Rabbit Bloodline."

Tang Yin paused, thinking carefully. He wasn't entirely sure she could awaken an Ultimate Attribute, but a Bloodline Core would suit her regardless. After a moment of pondering, he nodded in agreement.

Although it was possible to create an Ultimate Attribute Soul Core using a Soul Bone, it was considered a last resort—one Tang Yin would only use for Xiao Wu, Rongrong, Yuehua, and Erlong, since they had little hope of awakening one on their own.
