"Both of you" Mom replied with a wide grin.
I looked between the two of them in disbelief, and even without asking I know this decision has gone beyond my knowledge.

I stopped short when Tina looked up at me in curiosity, the happy look on her face would turn sour if I should bluntly refuse Mom's arrangements in her presence.
Or maybe I shouldn't, we can come to an agreement between us without our parents knowing about it. And I'm a little relieved it's someone I know and not a total stranger. It would have been hard to get used to her but also easier to refuse.
And that was my intention when I walked her to her car once lunch was over and it was time for her to leave.
"Will you be free this weekend?" I asked, and she nodded with a smile.
"Let's have dinner together on Saturday". I announced and she agreed without any words.
