Chapter 351 - Who Left Tony Stark's Legacy?

  The video ended.

This video first confirmed another important piece of information: which heroes were responsible for returning to find the Cosmic Sphere, or the Power Stone?

  War Machine, Rhodes, and Nebula.

This further confirms a previous speculation: after Hulk and Rocket Raccoon persuaded Thor to return, Thor must have gone to find the Reality Stone.

Based on the search for the other five stones, it's clear that they were generally paired up, except for the three-person search for the Tesseract and the Scepter at Stark Tower.

However, it's almost always two people.

Therefore, it can be inferred that Thor likely had a partner when he went back in time to find the Reality Stone.

  As for that partner…

after considering the others, Rocket Raccoon seems the most likely candidate.

After all, he and Thor forged Stormbreaker together in Nidwell-Valor, so they have a certain relationship.

With another fragment in hand, the puzzle of their time travel to find the stones becomes increasingly complete.

Besides the puzzle pieces related to finding the Infinity Stones, this footage also vividly portrays how Thanos in the past obtained clues about the heroes' actions.

In short, it boils down to four words:

"Even the best plans can have flaws."

Captain America couldn't help but sigh, "Nebula's situation was somewhat unexpected, but we must have known she was a cyborg. Our plan wasn't perfect enough."

"Captain, who could have predicted that two Nebulas could share memories?" Peter Parker didn't think it was their fault.

  It was purely accidental.

After all, how could anyone foresee what happened to Nebula?

"I agree with Peter. What happened to Nebula is beyond reproach, but after obtaining the Infinity Stones, everyone was clearly careless,"

Tony Stark added. "The Hulk snapped his fingers—that was such a crucial moment, yet Nebula was absent, and none of us suspected it."

This was indeed an oversight on the part of the Avengers.

  That was one point.

Secondly, the time machine was something so important, yet another Nebula could use it so easily, and according to the footage, that Nebula did so through intrusion.

From beginning to end, not a single alarm was sounded.

  That was a time machine!

Something so important, if it fell into the wrong hands, the consequences would be unimaginable; even the highest level of security wouldn't be excessive. Yet

  Nebula hacked it so easily.

Fortunately, such a thing is destined not to happen in the future.

A time machine will never exist.

[Question: After Tony Stark's death, to whom did he entrust his augmented reality strategy intelligence system, Edith,?]

  [A. Department of Defense]

  [B. Captain America, Steve Rogers]

  [C. Spider-Man, Peter Parker]

  [D. War Machine, Rhodes]

  [Friendly Reminder: Correct answers will receive a box of Memory Bread (300 slices);

incorrect answers will randomly deduct one attribute, including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, possessions, etc.]

Amidst the discussion, the system notification suddenly sounded, and a new question appeared.

This question concerned who Tony Stark left his estate to after his death, something everyone was quite interested in.

"An augmented reality strategic intelligence system, what kind of system is that?" Scott Lang couldn't help but ask curiously.

"I don't know what this system is, but it looks amazing," Peter Parker said excitedly, his face full of admiration.

  Not only that,

Peter Parker became even more excited when he saw his name appear in the options.

  What did this mean?

It meant that he was also one of Tony Stark's "legacy candidates."

"Stark, what kind of intelligence system have you developed this time?" Captain America turned to Tony Stark beside him and asked.

They had worked with Tony Stark on many missions and cooperated with him many times, but they had never known that Tony Stark had such a system.

"No, I haven't developed that system yet," Tony Stark shook his head. "This is something I'll develop in the future."

"OK," Captain America nodded, indicating he understood, and then continued to Tony Stark, "Stark, this question asks who you would leave your things to, so you should analyze it."

"Although I'm not entirely sure what kind of system it is right now, it's an intelligence system." Tony Stark didn't refuse and immediately began his analysis.

"If it's an intelligence system, the Department of Defense would certainly use it, but I don't think I'll leave my legacy to those hypocritical guys."

"I'm certain that if I give them my system, they won't use it to make the world a better place; on the contrary, it will make it more chaotic!"

Except for Peter Parker, everyone present wasn't a naive child, especially since they had learned many truths about the world through the quiz system.

They learned things that ordinary people didn't know.

Everyone knew that while Tony Stark's words carried a certain personal bias, they were definitely not pure alarmism.

Because this risk was very real.

When some organizations wield a powerful weapon, there will always be politicians and those in power who will use that weapon to satisfy their own selfish desires.

There's no guarantee that all organizations are like the Avengers, simply dedicated to maintaining world peace

without being tainted by additional interests or political factors .

"Therefore, I can't leave my legacy to those guys!" Tony Stark stated firmly.

"I absolutely believe that!" Scott Lang shrugged, immediately agreeing.

The others weren't surprised either. By now, they knew Tony Stark quite well, and leaving him to the Department of Defense didn't seem like Tony Stark's style.

Option A, without much doubt, was eliminated by everyone.

"Option B, Rogers?" Tony Stark fell into deep thought. After a moment, he spoke, "I don't think I can think of a reason to rule out this option."

"I think the answer should be Rogers," Strange even offered this opinion. "Of the options, none is more suitable to have this intelligence system than Rogers."

"First, Rogers is an Avenger, an agent; he certainly needs this intelligence system."

"Second, although I don't know exactly what this system is, since it was developed by Stark, it's definitely not an ordinary system."

"As Stark said, it's a sword. Whether this sword benefits or harms society depends entirely on the person wielding it, so Stark will choose to leave this system to someone he trusts." "

And Rogers is that kind of person."

"Although Rogers and Stark have had conflicts, friction, and even a period of 'silence,' they later put aside their differences and began fighting side-by-side, becoming close comrades."

"Indeed, no matter how you look at it, I can't see a reason to rule out Rogers."

"Then let's leave option B as undecided," Thor interjected.

"What about me?" Peter Parker asked, his eyes shining as he scanned everyone. He then offered his own analysis, "But… I don't think it'll be mine. I'm still a student."

Leaving such a powerful intelligence system to a student?

  That seems a bit illogical.

"Is it possible?" Captain America pondered for a moment, offering another guess, "Stark didn't leave it to you then, but to you in the future?"

"That makes sense, we can't rule that out," Tony Stark nodded emphatically.

"Although this kid has always been a kid, even during Endgame, kids grow up."

"Based on our previous intelligence, Peter Parker really wants to become an Avenger, so it's very possible he will become a true Avenger in the future."

No one had much doubt that Peter Parker wanted to become an Avenger.

After all, if Peter Parker didn't want to become an Avenger, why would Tony Stark "appoint" him as one on Ebony Maw's ship before their final battle with Thanos?

It must be something Peter Parker had expressed before.

His proud and excited expression after being "appointed" further supports this.

Considering Peter Parker's young age and ability to simultaneously suppress Bucky and Sam in the Civil War, no one was surprised that he would become an Avenger. It

was even considered a matter of course.

Therefore, it makes sense that Tony Stark would leave an intelligence system for the future Peter Parker.

He wouldn't need it during his student years, but wouldn't he be useful as an Avenger?

"So… this system might really be for me? That option is still pending, right?" Peter Parker couldn't contain his excitement at this thought.

His idol had actually left something for him after his death!

  This feeling was simply amazing!

Of course, he didn't want his idol to really die, but through this, he could feel his idol's attitude towards him.

  That felt great.

"It seems so, kid!" Thor said to Peter Parker with a smile.

After everyone's discussion, option C, Peter Parker, was also undecided.

Soon, everyone's attention turned to the last option.

"War Machine Rhodes, Tony Stark's best friend, perhaps even Tony Stark's most trusted friend, right?"

Thor spoke up at this time, joining the analysis, "He's also an Air Force member, an Avenger, and even more so, a War Machine with another suit of armor... Stark, I think Rhodes is also a possibility."

In this question, War Machine Rhodes, to some extent, actually overlaps significantly with Captain America.

Rhodes possesses all the reasons that make him a candidate for Captain America.

  "No, Thor, I don't think it's Rhodes."

After some thought, Captain America gave a different answer. "Rhodes is different from me. Although he's a superhero and an Avenger, he's also an Air Force colonel!"

"That means Rhodes is still part of the military system. All of Rhodes' actions are under the control of the military."

"If Stark gives that intelligence system to Rhodes, it's essentially giving that system to the Air Force!"

  "Captain's right!" Strange immediately agreed.

This was indeed the biggest difference between Rhodes and Captain America.

Captain America was a "free agent"; all his actions were based on his own will, not belonging to any organization, and not working for anyone else.

If the intelligence system was given to Captain America, then it belonged to Captain America.

But Rhodes had always been an Air Force member. All of Rhodes' actions were not his own decisions, but rather orders received from above.

Under these circumstances, how could Rhodes possibly possess such an intelligence system?

Even if Tony Stark gave that intelligence system to Rhodes, the system would still fall under the control of the Air Force.

  That was a foregone conclusion.

First, the Air Force would never allow a colonel to possess a private intelligence system.

Secondly, given Rhodes's personality, he would certainly choose to hand over that intelligence system.

Tony Stark, as Rhodes's close friend, is of course fully aware of all this; from this perspective, he indeed has no need to leave Rhodes any intelligence system.

"Besides that, Rhodes actually has another fatal flaw,"

Scott Lang's voice rang out, also considering a similar issue. "This is something we've all discussed in other answers: Rhodes is getting too old; I'm afraid he'll retire soon, right?"

Stark's goal with a retiring Air Force colonel was simply to ensure his smooth retirement, not to leave him with any intelligence network.

Having reached this point, War Machine Rhodes was essentially eliminated without much debate.

Now, only Captain America Steve Rogers and Spider-Man Peter Parker remained as candidates. The next step was to narrow down the choices between these two, and the answer would be clear.
