The second hypothesis proposed by Tony Stark was immediately and unanimously agreed upon by everyone present.
After all, the fact that Doctor Strange happened to be sent to Christine for treatment involved far too many coincidences. In other words, there were simply too many inconsistencies.
Compared to the first, the second hypothesis seemed much more reasonable.
Doctor Strange was a doctor by profession, and one of the top doctors in all of America. If he were injured, he would certainly have a clear understanding of his own injuries.
No one knew better than he did whether immediate first aid was sufficient or if he needed to be treated in a hospital.
And if Doctor Strange judged that his injuries required a hospital, he could simply make a few circles with his fingers and directly open a portal to a hospital.
The hospital where Doctor Strange had previously worked would naturally be his first choice.
It might even be considered a subconscious choice.
So, it makes perfect sense that Doctor Strange would be sent to the hospital where Christine worked, right?
It also perfectly explains why Doctor Strange was injured in London, but could still be treated in America!
This hypothesis seems much more reasonable.
"Stark's right, Doctor Strange probably opened a portal and went to the hospital where he used to work," Black Widow said, nodding at everyone.
No one else objected; they were all in agreement on this point.
"Why?" Strange then asked another crucial question, "Why would Doctor Strange open a portal to go to the hospital for emergency treatment?"
The answer to this question was quite simple. Strange didn't even need to think too hard before answering, "This means the sorcerer organization couldn't help him with his injuries!"
"Either Doctor Strange was alone, with no other sorcerers around to help him."
"Or, the Ancient One, Baron Mordo, and the others mentioned in the options didn't know first aid, or their methods couldn't save Doctor Strange."
"In short, under those circumstances, Doctor Strange had no choice but to seek help from a hospital!"
Captain America followed up on Strange's point.
This was a logical conclusion, and everyone else agreed.
"In that case, we can eliminate the Ancient One and Baron Mordo." Thor's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Doctor Strange was on the verge of death, so it couldn't be him. The answer is obvious!"
"The answer is that obvious?" Star-Lord shrugged. "This question is pretty simple."
"It seems so, indeed," Black Widow agreed.
This question is straightforward; everyone has already determined that the sorcerers can't help Doctor Strange with his injuries, so the answer must be a doctor.
And the only doctors among the options are Doctor Strange and Dr. Nick Hanson.
Doctor Strange is dying; do we even need to think about the answer?
"So, the two sorcerers are eliminated that quickly?"
While everyone agreed the answer was obvious, Star-Lord raised an objection, "Can't they just go with Doctor Strange to that place called a hospital? Then they can help the doctors treat Doctor Strange."
"Star-Lord, that might happen in space, but it won't happen on Earth," Black Widow shook her head first.
"No matter who they are, they can't interfere with the hospital's operations once they're there."
"So even if the sorcerers went to the hospital with Doctor Strange, even if they could be of great help, the hospital wouldn't allow them to mess around."
"The hospital will arrange the appropriate doctors to treat Doctor Strange themselves."
After Black Widow's words, Star-Lord didn't have any objections. He shrugged, "Fine! So, the answer is D."
"Everyone, shouldn't the person involved answer the question? So, should I answer this one?"
Strange glanced at the few old-timers present, asking if he should answer.
After receiving an affirmative answer, without any further ado, he immediately spoke his answer to the big screen, with a hint of anticipation and excitement: "I choose D, Dr. Nick Hanson."
After finishing, he couldn't help but complain, "I never thought I'd be saved by Nick Hanson one day."
How should one put it? Nick Hanson's medical skills were just so-so, something Strange didn't care for at all.
Of course, Strange actually looked down on everyone.
[Incorrect Answer!]
The system's prompt immediately followed, causing the smile on Strange's face to freeze.
The answer wasn't D?
To be honest, this question wasn't that difficult. Everyone's analysis was logical and well-reasoned, not just guesses or assumptions.
Everyone was actually quite confident.
But who would have thought they'd be wrong?
[The answerer, Stephen Strange, receives the penalty of having their speech skill erased. Immediately implemented!]
Whoosh!
Strange immediately felt a weakness in his body, as if something had been taken away. But then, he returned to normal.
Without a doubt, his speech skill had been erased.
"The answer isn't Dr. Nick Hanson, so who could it be? One of the two sorcerers?" Captain America couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.
"No, that's not right," Black Widow shook her head. "Logically, the answer shouldn't be a sorcerer."
Not to mention a sorcerer, even a doctor who wasn't from this hospital could only wait in the rest area and follow the hospital's arrangements.
Especially since the question mentioned being severely wounded and near death in a great battle. Even if a sorcerer had traveled to the hospital with Doctor Strange, it would be impossible to change clothes or anything.
That sorcerer's robe would probably make them look like a madman.
It was even more impossible to intervene in Doctor Strange's emergency treatment.
"If the answer isn't Dr. Nick Hanson, then it can only be Doctor Strange," Tony Stark pondered for a long time before suddenly speaking heavily.
"That's ridiculous! Doctor Strange was almost dead at the time!" Star-Lord immediately raised an objection.
Everyone else also thought the answer couldn't be Doctor Strange. Compared to the other two sorcerers, someone who was dying was even less likely.
"Precisely because Doctor Strange is dying, that's why I think the answer is him!" Tony Stark said.
"Why do you say that, Stark? What have you thought of?" Thor immediately asked curiously.
"Why Christine? Has anyone thought about that?"
Tony Stark glanced at everyone present, hitting the nail on the head, "Even if Doctor Strange went to the hospital on his own, would it be such a coincidence that he'd be treated by his old lover? Isn't that a bit too coincidental?"
Hearing Tony Stark say that, everyone did think it was quite a coincidence.
After all, the hospital was so big, and which doctor would treat a patient was determined by the actual situation. The possibility of being "assigned" to his old lover was not high.
Too coincidental.
"I can only think of one possibility: Doctor Strange sought out his old lover on his own," Tony Stark said heavily.
Everyone at the scene pondered for a moment, and no one raised any objections. This did indeed explain why Christine had taken action.
However, it was clear this had nothing to do with Tony Stark's choice of Doctor Strange. No one spoke up about it, and instead, they stared intently at Tony Stark, awaiting his next words.
"Everyone, you should all be familiar with hospital procedures, right? If Doctor Strange were severely injured and sent to a hospital, what's the first thing the hospital would do?"
"Of course, it's diagnosis, examination, and determining the exact illness before arranging treatment."
"Herein lies a key problem: time!"
"These preliminary diagnoses all require time. And Doctor Strange was dying at the time, so he didn't have any time!"
"It's possible that if the hospital followed routine procedures, diagnosing and examining him, he would have already died during that time."
"And Doctor Strange happens to be a highly skilled doctor. He's acutely aware of the problem with his body and even knows how to treat it. All he needs is time."
"So… I guess that's why Doctor Strange would seek out his old flame."
Tony Stark explained, and everyone present started to understand.
"Stark, are you saying Doctor Strange found someone he trusts to avoid wasting time with standard procedures?"
"Then he could tell her his diagnosis, even the treatment methods, and have her treat him directly."
"That would save crucial time and pull him back from the brink of death!"
Black Widow's eyes slowly lit up as she spoke. It sounded perfectly reasonable and logical.
Even the question of why Christine was the one to act was perfectly explained.
"That does sound like something I'd do," Doctor Strange mused, approving the idea.
The situation was entirely something he could see himself doing.
"Sounds like the answer is C," Strange continued.
Under Tony Stark's hypothesis, everything made perfect sense.
From start to finish, there were no rough edges or forced elements. Even the previously weak points became clear under this assumption.
Options A and B didn't fit at all.
In this situation, why would anyone rule out C?
In the second round, only Black Widow and Star-Lord hadn't answered yet. After a brief discussion, they decided Black Widow would answer this question.
"I choose C, Doctor Strange!"
Black Widow didn't stand on ceremony and immediately stated her answer to the big screen.
[Answer Correct!]
The system immediately gave its feedback.
A look of excitement couldn't help but appear on Black Widow's face.
[Congratulations to the questioner Natasha Romanoff for receiving a reward of one Blood Bodhi!]
Following the system's prompt, Black Widow suddenly felt something appear in her hand.
She turned her hand over and looked, and a blood-red, crystal-clear strange fruit appeared before her and everyone else present.
Without a doubt, it was naturally the Blood Bodhi.
"So this is the Blood Bodhi?"
Star-Lord's face was filled with surprise and curiosity. Although he didn't know what the Blood Bodhi was, it was obvious at a glance that it was a good thing.
As a Ravager, Star-Lord had a natural sense for treasures. The Blood Bodhi was clearly no ordinary object.
"Blood Bodhi, what a magical thing!"
Black Widow sorted through the information about the Blood Bodhi in her mind and also showed a look of surprise, exclaiming in admiration.
"This thing is not only a healing elixir, capable of recovering even the most severe injuries in a very short time, but more importantly... taking it can give me Internal Energy."
Internal Energy!
The eyes of the few veteran heroes present couldn't help but light up.
This familiar form of power wasn't new to them. Whether it was Tony Stark's nimble movements or Captain America's pressure point strikes, these techniques from Eastern martial arts all required Internal Energy to activate.
Unfortunately, neither of them possessed Internal Energy, which is why they ended up relying on pure physical exertion.
But now, Black Widow had this Internal Energy!
"Internal Energy, Natasha, what kind of power is this?" Captain America couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.
Everyone else also stared at Black Widow with curious eyes; they were equally eager to know the answer.
"How should I put it? It's a completely new power, independent of muscle strength. It flows within my body and can enhance any of my movements."
Black Widow thought carefully before explaining, "Simply put, if I use Internal Energy, I become a super soldier, too."
"Even without using the Tremor-Tremor Fruit, I can kick a car away with one foot."
"Besides that, my speed, jumping ability, agility, and so on, have all been correspondingly enhanced to a certain extent."
"That's great, Natasha. That's a really good reward," Captain America nodded, genuinely happy for Black Widow.
"What about the Tremor-Tremor Fruit?" Thor asked curiously from the side. "Shouldn't the Tremor-Tremor Fruit's power also be improved?"
"Unfortunately, Internal Energy didn't enhance my physical qualities, so… the Tremor-Tremor Fruit hasn't been amplified," Black Widow said, a little disappointed.
But regardless, the Blood Bodhi still provided a significant boost to Black Widow's overall strength.
And that was secondary. The more critical point was that if there were future skill rewards similar to the Lingbo Weibu technique, they would be able to unleash their full potential in Black Widow's hands.
