Chapter 262 - Chapter 262: Has the Blue Silver Grass Mutated?

Tang San had also captured some people to question, but most knew very little, vaguely speculating it was related to the Hundred Victory God of Slaughter, though no one had conclusive evidence.

However, Tang San was not worried, because he had been personally sent here by his father and uncle. He presumed that the legendary Slaughter King would have to show some respect to the Clear Sky Sect.

Tang San retracted his Eight Spider Lances, ignoring the withered Fallen One at his feet, and made his way toward the Hell Slaughter Arena. Those who could enter this place were all vicious and malicious individuals, and he felt not an ounce of pity for them.

After registering, Tang San stood in a corner of the arena. Since entering Slaughter City, the tension that had long been coiled in his heart finally began to ease.

Today was the day he would achieve his hundredth victory. In fact, he had to thank those newcomers who had flooded into Slaughter City for unknown reasons. Thanks to these reckless fools, he had once gained up to nine victories in a single day.

Although such good fortune didn't last long, it was enough for him to accumulate wins rapidly.

This Slaughter Competition had taken nearly a full day for Tang San to gather nine unfortunate opponents.

A smile touched Tang San's lips. He did not use the Clear Sky Hammer nor the Blue Silver Grass. With the Tang Sect Skills at his disposal—whether Hidden Weapons, deadly poisons, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, Mystic Jade Hand, or Crane Control, Dragon Capture—he could achieve overwhelming superiority.

The Clear Sky Hammer was more often reserved as a life-saving measure and his final trump card.

As for the Blue Silver Grass, although it showed signs of mutation due to constantly absorbing the life force of Soul Masters, it was ultimately still too weak.

As the massive stone slab sealed the entrance and exit, Tang San instantly sprang into action. His hands lightly brushed against the Soul Guiding Device at his waist, and countless Hidden Weapons were thrown with exquisite technique.

He well understood that mercy toward enemies was cruelty to oneself, so the angles of his Hidden Weapons were extremely cunning.

Although the nine participants were skilled, only two managed to offer some resistance. The others were struck down by hundreds of Hidden Weapons in the first encounter.

The remaining two, despite resisting briefly, soon met their demise.

"Thousand Hands Asura! Thousand Hands Asura!" Fierce cheers erupted from the spectator stands at some point.

Tang San stood calmly at the center of the arena, already accustomed to such scenes.

"You are quite remarkable. Would you be willing to stay in Slaughter City as a guest?" The Slaughter King, as always, began persuading him with various conditions from the start, hoping to prevent the emergence of another God of Slaughter.

"I'm sorry, but I must decline your kind offer. I came here to tread the legendary Road to Hell. Please open the entrance to the Road to Hell," Tang San replied with a faint smile.

The Slaughter King's face instantly darkened, but considering the two who had escorted Tang San here, he suppressed his anger. "Have you thought this through? The Road to Hell is a path of no return."

"Open it. I made my decision long before I came here," Tang San declared proudly, confidence gleaming in his eyes.

The Slaughter King's gaze sharpened, veins bulging on his neck. After a moment, however, as if struck by a thought, his eyes shifted and an inexplicable smile spread across his face. "Very well, since you wish to go, I shall grant your desire."

Red mist drifted, and the slaughter feast began. As the spectators' blood drained away one by one, blood-red bats opened a new passage. Tang San felt his mind grow hazy, his footing gave way, and an inexplicable fear surged within him.

Fear incessantly devoured Tang San's heart, tormenting him relentlessly.

After an unknown length of time, Tang San plunged into a sea of blood with a splash. The sudden, intense pain jolted him partially awake.

Gulp after gulp—he had no idea how much blood he had swallowed. Struggling, he surfaced from the crimson tide and scanned his surroundings, immediately stunned.

They called this the Road to Hell, but where was the road? All he could see were scattered remnants of ruined structures.

Puzzled, Tang San swam slowly forward. It felt like an eternity before he finally found a foothold in the blood sea. Seizing the opportunity, he hastily swallowed two antidote pills.

He knew Bloody Mary contained toxins, and though the origin of this blood sea was unclear, it was undoubtedly linked to Slaughter City.

With a moment to catch his breath, the path ahead became slightly more manageable. Aided by his Flying Sky God Claw, he soon reached an area with intact structures and solid ground.

Tang San breathed a sigh of relief, but before he had gone far, he sensed something unusual around him.

Whoosh—

At first, it was a faint rustling wind, then it grew into a dense, chaotic howl.

He quickly activated his Purple Demon Eyes to peer toward the source. His vision flooded with a crimson haze, rapidly drifting toward him.

As it drew closer, he realized with horror that the red mass was composed of countless bats, each about an inch long.

Tang San's expression shifted abruptly. Behind him lay only the blood sea—unless he dove underwater to hide, there was no escape. The Eight Spider Lances extended from his back, and he summoned the Clear Sky Hammer in his left hand. A new wave of slaughter began.

He fought for what felt like an eternity before the bat swarm finally retreated in fear.

Tang San collapsed to the ground with a thud, gasping for air. "This Road to Hell truly lives up to its name!"

As he spoke, a chilling, murderous intent descended, sending a shiver down his spine. He turned his head and gasped in shock.

Along the path from which the red bats had come, a dark gold, three-headed bat was charging toward him at high speed. Its massive wings stirred violent gusts of wind with each beat.

Tang San's face twitched. There was no choice but to fight for his life—even retreating into the blood sea was not an option. Facing such a powerful creature, the slightest mistake would mean certain death.

Rising swiftly, a wild glint flashed in his eyes as killing intent radiated from his body. Hidden Weapons flew from his Soul Guiding Device like rain, covering every possible angle of the Three-Headed Bat King.

Blood splattered, and his Eight Spider Lances shattered...

The battle dragged on for a long time. With the aid of Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, Tang San barely managed to defeat the Dark Gold Three-Headed Bat King.

But he was severely wounded. Dragging his heavy steps, he approached the fallen beast and drove his two remaining spider lances into its body. Streams of life force surged through the lances and into his own body.

Feeling the immense vitality, Tang San exhaled in relief, his fatigue and pain easing slightly.

However, he soon noticed something strange: this bat, which resembled a Soul Beast, did not produce a Spirit Ring upon death, and its life force far exceeded that of ordinary Soul Beasts of similar level.

He had absorbed countless ten-thousand-year Soul Beasts, but this was the first time he had encountered one with such an endless, continuous wellspring of vitality.

Suddenly, Tang San's expression changed. A faint pain prickled within his body, and the Blue Silver Grass involuntarily emerged from his right hand.

With the increase in vitality, the color of the Blue Silver Grass began to change, slowly darkening from blue before finally settling into a deep purplish-black.

"Has the Blue Silver Grass mutated?" Tang San felt a mix of fear and anticipation, his eyes blazing with intense light.
