'I still can't make sense of what I'm seeing right now' A young man with dark hair thought to himself sitting across from a woman and a young man who lay in her lap holding a Rubik's cube in his hands, sitting in a chair that lay within the hands of a gigantic trembling jester, the grand giant of delight had its entire body shaking, yet oddly enough its palms in which the two remained didn't so much as vibrate.
The colourful giants body was cut and deformed in certain areas and top half of its mask had been destroyed, revealing a squirming mass of bloodied flesh, it had no eyes and yet the young man sitting across could discern its clear fear, the young man's lips parted he was about to utter his first words since coming to this place.
"I am a god". The cube makes a clacking noise, he turned it about, looking at all the completed sides "I am currently not in a state where I can directly influence this world, nor resolve any of its current problems"
'I didn't even get to ask my question' he complained mentally at not even being given the opportunity to speak.
"Rude as that may seem to you, I'm on a tight schedule, I don't want that old fool noticing I stole a soul from him". He looked around for a moment and then at the woman's face before continuing "I need you help me resolve some issues, don't worry you just need to get close to a certain group, I'll take care of the rest, they'll find you".
The young man was about to ask why he had started talking so quickly when the Rubiks cube in his hands exploded and a thunderous voice exploded from all directions "MAXIMUS, RETRUN THAT SOUL TO THE UNDERWORLD!!".
The young man clicked his tongue just before the space above him tore open and a multitude of rotting arms gushed forth from the crack in space and descended upon the trio, before the man could even blink, the woman was beside him shaking her head and muttering some strange things beneath her breath as his vision started to rapidly fade and everything turned black but not before hearing one last shout "RETURN THE SOUL MAXIMUS!!!!!".
He suddenly felt cold, the air was putrid and he felt damp, he struggled moving his limbs, they ached, they felt weak, he was strangely out of breath, finally pushing himself out, he beheld a large amount of lifeless bodies and a large emancipated humanoid creature with long canines and long thin arms, with greyed out fur that keep falling off like the leaves of a dying tree.
The creature skin looked dry and rough akin to sandpaper, its hair was thin and wiry, parted in the middle, it had a three sectioned mouth that hung open revealing a long serpentine tongue, its eyes hollowed out and empty, It remained immobile, in its grasp was a corpse that had likely been just above his own in this pile, its arms lay limply by its side. The creature was dead, it had died eating.\
"What…is…dat". His throat burned, his voice was hoarse and his throat felt strained, he could feel marks on his bodies neck, whomever it was had died screaming, 'I feel so weak'. He took a step, tumbling off the corpses and hitting the ground with a thud, he looked up in fear, half expecting the deceased creature to rise from its throne of skeletons to rise from its throne of skeletons to consume him, but it did not.
'Its really dead, did that god kill it?' he thought but there was no one to answer his mental query. A path lay to his left, it was the only path other than the walking up to the giant, he began to walk, growing more comfortable with his body, it was smaller, thinner and frailer than his original body had been even on his death bed.
He exhaled, his breath visible to him and yet he didn't truly feel it, it was odd, he felt the cold and yet he remained unresponsive to it, his insides felt bloated, but that seemed inconsequential at the moment.
He had excited the cave and was greeted with a vast world of pure white, the show touched his skin, he felt its cold touch and yet, that was all he felt, it was as though he himself were a corpse 'Where am I?'. he continued to walk.
He walked, and walked and stumbled, had his fingers snap off, his skin peel and his eyes ice over when he closed them, yet he felt no pain, his wounds simply healed, and such he continued to walk, at some point his legs had snapped off, and he lay there in the snow until they had regrown.
He had stopped regenerating, he had grown weak, far more so than when he had first arrived, his limbs had started to break off and he was afraid to blink fearing his eyes would be unable to open the next time he did so, he dragged himself across the icy floor with his elbows, his fingers had frozen off.
His eyes bad been frozen solid, he could no longer see now, he was moving blindly through the endless snow, his elbows snapped off and now he was just nothing more than a torso and soon he feared even his head would detach itself from his shoulders.
"This isn't normal". He could only say this mentally, his lower jaw had hit a rock whilst he crawled and been broken off "How am I still alive? What kind of frost even is this?"
His mind filled with questions, he was blind and immobile, he hadn't seen himself but he imagined he looked quite emancipated, his hair had likely fallen out as well "Ah". The image of the large humanoid beast in the cave flashed in his mind. "I think I'm worse off though, maybe".
