"Haaaa..."
"Take this!"
Tsing, tshing... (I clash weapons with the enemy)
Bruggg... (Yusa lands a hit on one of them)
"You're not bad, kid!"
"Don't underestimate us. Take this!" Roro attacks with her weapon.
"Ahhh..." (The enemy is hit by Roro's attack)
We were engaged in a fight with those people. Although there were only three of us, we were able to hold them off with our skills.
"Annoying! How could we be struggling to defeat mere kids?"
"What should we do?"
"I know, let's surround that girl!"
We had made it difficult for them to fight us. But after we defeated a few of them, three of them rushed toward Roro. They surrounded her from all sides. Yusa and I quickly moved to help her.
"Hahaha, you're surrounded now, little princess. Three against one—you won't escape so easily. We'll defeat you!"
"Roro...."
"Yusa, let's help her."
"Yeah, Jay."
"Where do you think you're going, kid? I'm your opponent!" One of them blocked our path.
"Damn you. You're such a coward, ganging up on a woman."
"Anything can happen in battle, kid! Get ready to die!"
Yusa and I couldn't help Roro right away because we were being blocked. Roro had to face them alone—for now. But we would help her as soon as we defeated this guy.
"Hahaha, we're going to finish you. Then your friends will be next. But it'd be boring to kill you right away..."
"Haha, you're right, bro. Let's enjoy this pretty girl before we finish her!"
"Don't underestimate me! The firm conviction held by the Queen won't be shaken by catastrophe—because the Queen herself is the catastrophe! Magic Skill: Rip Current!"
"Hahaha... Little princess, are you casting a spell for us?"
"Ooh, I'm so scared. Hahaha..."
"Yes, you should be scared. Because after this, no one will know your fate."
"She's just trying to comfort herself. But princess, you're the one who's going to die. Let's finish her!"
"Yeah..."
Swushss, swushss, swushss... (The calm sea suddenly roars with massive waves)
Duar, duar, duar... (The sky darkens with thunder and lightning)
"Hey, what's that sound?"
"Look, bro! Behind you."
"Oh no. This must be a joke!"
"Ahhh, save yourselves...."
"No, wait! Please save me..."
"Help me! I still want to live..."
"Is that really Roro we know?" (Yusa was shocked by Roro's new power)
"You're right, Yusa. This is the first time I've seen her power. I didn't expect her to be this strong."
Roro unleashed her magic skill. The spell summoned a huge wave from the ocean, accompanied by a storm and lightning. The wave crashed onto the shore—right where the three who surrounded Roro stood. They were swept away into the open sea.
"Come on, Yusa—let's go!"
"Yeah, Jay."
We ran over to Roro after defeating the enemy blocking us. She had managed to defeat the three that surrounded her.
"Roro, are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"No, Jay. I'm fine."
"That was amazing, Roro! I didn't know you had such powerful magic."
"Hehehe… Thanks for the compliment, Yusa."
Prok, prok, prok... (The sound of clapping)
"Impressive. Very impressive, the three of you! I didn't expect one of you to wield such remarkable magic."
After defeating the four enemies, their boss appeared before us. He was the last one standing after we defeated his subordinates. He seemed ready to avenge them.
"You must be their leader."
"Correct. I'm their leader. But those losers were never truly my subordinates. They just followed me to bask under my strength and power."
"Be careful, everyone. He looks way stronger than those we fought before."
"Yeah, Jay. I can sense a terrifying aura from him," said Roro.
"Alright, you three. Let's fight! I want to see what you're capable of."
"Wait, what's your name?"
"Hahaha, you want to know my name at a time like this? Fine, I'll tell you. My name is Atma Wiguna. I'm the one who rebuilt every structure in this territory."
"Everyone! Get ready."
"Yes!"
Just as we thought, the leader of the bandits—Atma—wanted to fight us. We didn't know how powerful he really was, but he was confident enough to take on all three of us alone.
"If you won't attack, then I will!" Atma launched his attack.
Wushh... (Atma quickly struck Yusa)
Brugg... (He hit Yusa in the stomach)
"Yusa!" I shouted.
Yusa was hit hard and flung far back.
"He's fast and his punches are strong. His skill is almost like Bima's, but without the huge body."
"Jay, behind you!" Roro shouted.
"Got you."
Brugg....
Atma struck me—I was knocked back by the hit.
"Argght..."
"Hah, is this all you've got? My expectations were too high—you're not entertaining enough."
"Don't get cocky, this isn't over yet!"
"You're right, Roro. I can still fight. Erghhtt..." I stood back up despite my wounds.
"I won't give up either!" said Yusa.
"Nice spirit. Come on, all three of you—attack me at once."
"Haaa..."
"Hyaaa..."
"Haaaa..."
We attacked him together. But our legendary weapons couldn't even scratch him. It was as if something protected his body. We kept trying, but still couldn't injure him.
"Everyone, fall back!"
"Who is this guy?" Roro was confused by Atma's power.
"Besides speed and strength, he also has solid defense. How many magic skills does he have?"
"Roro, can you use your magic skill again?"
"Sorry, Jay. That skill drained my mana. I can't use it again right now."
"Alright, I understand. Then I'll try checking his status with my skill."
"You can check another player's status, Jay?"
"Yes, Yusa. I have a skill that lets me see detailed player stats—but I can only use it once a week."
"Okay, let us know what you find."
"Of course. Magic Skill: Jayabaya's Vision, activate!"
"Hahaha, so you're done attacking?"
"Guys, this might be tough."
"What do you mean, Jay?"
"Yeah, Jay—what did you see?"
"He's a higher level than us. He's level 13. We're still level 10. (In my mind) How did he get such a high level? He's almost caught up to me. I'm level 14 now—thanks to the EXP from that novel I read. Has he been grinding this whole time? That means he's defeated many monsters solo."
"Does that mean we can't beat him because of the level gap?"
"Not just that, Roro. He also has a Unique Class."
"Unique Class? You mean one of those rare classes only a few players have?"
"Exactly. He's a Summoner. And his constellation sponsor is Bandung Bondowoso."
Unique Classes are player classes outside the usual seven job roles. They're extremely rare, owned by only a handful of players in the world. Besides Summoner, there are others like Tamer, Necromancer, or even the strongest Unique Class held by the five heroes in the novel: Hero.
"Hahaha, impressive. You really do have a Unique Skill that can read player stats. Everything you said is true. I'm even more convinced now—you're strong players who haven't yet realized your full potential."
"If you're a Summoner, how do you have such speed and strength? Aren't Summoners supposed to rely on their summoned creatures for offense and defense?"
"Hahaha, you're right—but not entirely. Let me show you. First, tell me your names."
"I'm Jay, she's Roro, and he's Yusa. Now answer me—why are you so strong?"
"Hahaha, alright. Listen to my command! Reveal yourselves to them, now!" Atma ordered his summoned creatures to show themselves.
I was shocked by what I saw.
"So those are his summons."
Around Atma, creatures appeared that we hadn't seen before. These beings protected him, enhanced his speed, and strengthened his attacks. They were Djinns—his summoned creatures.
Not just one, but five Djinns. Each had a different form and size—likely with different powers.
"Jay, aren't those Djinns?"
"Yes, Roro. You know the story of Bandung Bondowoso, right?"
"Yes. He was a powerful king with a Djinn army who built 999 temples in one night. Sadly, he failed to finish the 1000th because he was betrayed by his lover, Roro Jonggrang."
"Exactly. The Djinn army he had—Atma also possesses. Not just one, but five. I'm sure as his level increases, he'll summon even more."
"Hey Jay, Roro, Yusa—why don't you join me? Together, we'll be unstoppable. We could rule this land!"
"I refuse!"
"I'd never serve you!"
"Me neither."
"Hahaha, then you've made a huge mistake. Now suffer the consequences!"
