He watched her cheeks go red, her gaze instantly shifting away from his, understanding on what she meant about the contract instantly dawned on him.
He turned to face her, seeing as the red coloring her cheeks flamed deeper, it brought a striking amusement into him making him begin to take slow, deliberate steps towards her.
She seemed to panic even more seeing him approaching her, he watched as her eyes darted as if looking for something to say to divert what she'd said earlier.
"Uhm... what I meant was..." Before she could fully find the words, he'd reached her, the distance between them barely enough to let her catch her breath.
She craned her neck up to look at him, her eyes big and wide.
Whenever she gazed up at him with such widened eyes, she reminded him of a cornered cat.
Her reaction was endearing, in a way one wouldn't expect. He never understood the perception of people who would happily gaze upon an animal and call it adorable until this expression on her face.
