During the time Erza had been fighting Ikaruga, Juvia, Lucy, and Cana were facing Taka, and he was giving them quite the trouble. Taka's hair was capable of absorbing water, making Juvia nearly useless in this battle, forcing her to stay in the back while Lucy and Cana filled the role of their missing heavy hitter.
"Wahh! You ladies aren't enough to stop this rock and roll!" With a crazed grin, Taka played his guitar while controlling his lustrous hair as he blocked Cana's cards and Sagittarius's arrows; the battle was at a standstill, but it was merely an illusion as Taka was controlling the flow of the fight.
Throwing a series of exploding cards, Cana leaped to the right, dodging a thick bundle of his hair while another bundle intercepted the cards, causing them to explode on impact, yet once the smoke cleared, his hair was still in pristine condition, causing her to click her tongue as she landed. "Lucy, we've got to do something about his hair!" Throwing a card onto the ground, creating a thick smoke cloud, Cana promptly vanished.
"Yeah, well, easier said than done, Cana!" Dodging for her life, Lucy scrambled to her feet before leaping into the air, narrowly avoiding being swept off her feet by a bundle of hair. "Juvia, do you think you can help at all!?" Her voice was desperate as she quickly crouched before glancing at Juvia, who was sporting an ugly expression. "I can't. His hair will just absorb it."
Cana, who finally emerged from the smoke cloud she had been hiding within, threw a volley of sharp cards, aiming to cut Taka's hair, yet he expertly deflected each one out of the air, foiling her attack. "Well, he's got to have a limit, right!? He can't just infinitely absorb water… That'd be bullshit!" "Magic is often bullshit." "Ugh, your pessimism isn't helping, Juvia." Shooting Juvia an annoyed look, Lucy was kicked into the air by Sagittarius, helping her evade yet another attack while he continued to fire arrows.
"Whoa! Brilliant plan, ladies! Unfortunately, I've gotten bored, so let's spice things up, what do you say!? Who wants to play eenie-meenie?" Taka, a sadistic smile forming on his face, separated his hair into three thick bundles as they chased after Cana, Lucy, and Juvia while he sang eenie-meenie.
"And. You. Are. IT!" Picking the fleeing Juvia, the bundle of hair chasing behind her suddenly surged before wrapping around her body, while the two other bundles of hair stopped chasing Cana and Lucy, prompting them to look at her. "Juvia!" "Tsk, dammit."
"Haha, you'll be my succubus!" Following his words, Taka changes the tune, playing his guitar aggressively, causing Cana and Lucy to wince as they covered their ears while Juvia, who was stuck within the hair cocoon, continuously screamed in agony.
After a few moments, the cocoon of hair retreated, freeing Juvia, who was nothing like her previous self; her gloomy personality was nowhere to be seen as she was now pale-skinned and sporting a crazed, happy grin. Her clothes had also changed; instead of her usual outfit, she was now wearing tight-fitting jeans, a corset-like crop-top, make-up, and a tattoo above her groin.
"Hell. Hell." Softly muttering, Juvia gazed at Cana and Lucy. "W-What happened to you, Juvia!? Get a hold of yourself!" Lucy, concerned for Juvia, stepped forward, only for Cana to grab her shoulder, stopping her in place. "That's not, Juvia. That punk did something to her." "Ouch! Card-lady is right! I turned water-lady into my succubus, now she's under my control!" Taka, grinning like a madman, pointed to Juvia using the neck of his guitar. "Hehe, I'll drag you to the depths of hell."
"If you could do that, why didn't you take control of us?" Frowning, Cana looked at Taka, whose maniacal laughter briefly overpowered his guitar. "Where would the fun in that be!? I want to watch you guys fight each other!" At such a response, Lucy spat onto the ground. "You're a freaking bastard, you know that?" "Haha, thanks for the compliment! Now fight!"
On cue, the lower half of Juiva morphed into water as she slid across the ground, speedily lunging toward Cana and Lucy, forcing them to dodge in opposite directions, though she chased after Lucy. "Dammit! Why me!?" Cursing her bad luck, Lucy recalled Sagittarius and summoned Taurus, who attempted to stop Juvia, though his axe simply went right through her body. "Moo, what the hell!?"
"Cana, help me!" Helpless to stop Juvia, Lucy headed to Cana, whose expression violently twitched as she quickly grabbed several cards. "Tch, dodge!" Diving onto the ground, several glowing cards fly right above Lucy as they embed themselves within Juvia's body, before exploding, shocking Lucy. "Eh, d-did you just kill her!?" "What? No… I don't think." "Huh!? What do you mean, 'I don't think'!?" "Well, I mean, she's water, right? Her body should come back together… Right?"
While Lucy was arguing with Cana, who was nervously trying to calm her and justify her actions, doing a terrible job, unknown to either of them, a puddle of water had surrounded where they stood, causing Taka to violently strike his guitar. "Oi, now, pretend they're your rivals in love!"
"Rivals? DIE!" Juvia's furious voice snapped Cana and Lucy out of their argument as they looked at the rising water surrounding them. "See! Told you, Lucy!" Unfortunately for either of them, they were promptly consumed by the water and were slowly assimilated with her as Juvia's figure reemerged, causing Taka to laugh.
However, deep inside Juvia's body, Lucy and Cana could be seen floating together through the vastness of an endless ocean. 'Cana, can you hear me?' Unable to speak, Lucy intensely looked at Cana, who just furrowed her brows in confusion, causing her to faintly shake her head.
"I-I'm sorry." Simultaneously, the two mages snapped their gazes upwards as they heard Juvia's voice, not the controlled Juvia, but the real Juvia. "I didn't want to hurt anyone, especially not my allies. Though I suppose it might be presumptuous of me to consider them allies. You two are my rivals in love."
Swimming upwards, Cana and Lucy come face-to-face with Juvia, curled into fetal positions while tears slowly slide down her face. 'Rivals in love? You mean Gray? Oh, you don't need to worry about that. Gray's a brother to me. I like big bro.' Cana, offering a faint smile, gave Juvia a thumbs-up while Lucy nodded in agreement with a wry smile. 'I also don't like Gray like that; if anyone, it's probably Natsu.'
"Y-You know, it hasn't been long, but I've really come to love Fairy Tail. The guild is so friendly, so warm, and so fun; even if it were storming outside, I know there will be nothing but sunshine inside the guild… It's the first place I could truly call a family… Yet, like always, I bring nothing but sadness." Cana and Lucy were stunned into silence at Juvia's heartfelt confession, causing them to look at each other with hardened expressions.
However, before either could offer words of comfort, they were suddenly expelled from Juvia's body, causing them to plop onto the ground. "Haha, finish them, Juvia!" Standing up, Lucy grabbed a golden key while Cana held several yellowish cards. "Aquarius, I summon thee!" Following an intense light, Aquarius suddenly appears. "Oi, C-Cooper isn't anywhere present, right?" Nervously, gulping, Aquarius looked around, yet she quickly focused when she saw Juvia's powerful attack heading this way.
"What the hell, where the hell did you summon me, Lucy!?" Manifesting her urn, Aquarius pointed it at the incoming wave of water, only for an even more massive wave of water to meet Juvia's attack, quickly washing over her and hitting her. "Anyone who could shed tears for their friends is Fairy Tail in my heart!" Just as Lucy finished speaking, Aquarius's attack washed over Juvia, slamming her into the wall while Taka's hair absorbed the remaining water.
"Haha, nice job, but it won't work, my hair can absorb it all!" Ignoring Taka, Lucy, and Cana quickly neared Juvia, who seemed to have Taka's control knocked out of her as they helped her onto her feet. "T-Thanks." "Heh, save it for after we beat Taka." Glancing at Cana, Juvia firmly nodded and stood on her feet as the three mages faced down Taka, who manically laughed.
"Aquarius attack!" "Haa, who the hell do you take me for? I ain't your pet?" "Ho? Biiiiig Brooooo!" "O-Okay! I-I'll attack, dammit, I'll attack! Tsk, annoying brat." Having successfully baited Aquarius, she summons yet another large wave and surges it at Taka, prompting Juvia to do the same, combining their attack to create a miniature tsunami.
"Haha, more water? Nothing will change!" "Maybe so, but what if we add some lightning?" Flashing a faint smirk, Cana finally threw her several cards, yet her target was the water, not Taka, only for the cards to violently explode with lightning. Just as he went to absorb the water, he was hit with a powerful and violent current of electricity that washed through his body, burning his lustrous hair, while he was flung out through a window from the water.
"Haa, w-we did it!"
