Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Sad Rukia Kuchiki

"Good morning, Brother Nanaya!"

At Kurosaki Clinic, Yuzu greeted Nanaya cheerfully as she set down a bottle of milk on the table.

"Karakura Town really has the worst luck lately. A meteor even hit us yesterday."

Kurosaki Karin pouted. "If you ask me, we're lucky. A huge meteor fell and nobody even got hurt."

Yuzu nodded and then looked at Nanaya with a hint of excitement."Brother Nanaya, I heard the meteor left big craters that looked like footprints on the street! Can you take us to see them later?"

Nanaya, still eating, twitched at her words.

"...You probably shouldn't go. There's nothing interesting to see."

He didn't realize those footprints, left behind by Susanoo, had already become a tourist attraction overnight.

Yuzu wasn't the only one fascinated. Even the TV was showing crowds gathering around the scene.

"I wonder if Urahara-san is still alive..." Ichigo mumbled, thinking about Kisuke's pitiful situation—left alone to erase the memories of dozens of people without any help.

"Who knows? But hey, it's his own fault."

Nanaya smirked as he polished off the rest of his breakfast and picked up another bun.

"Yuzu, I'll go eat the rest in my room."

"Okay!"

"Sure..."

Yuzu and Karin nodded, but watched him go with some confusion.

"Why does he always eat the second half in his room?"

"Rukia, breakfast time!"

Nanaya knocked on the closet door. With a yawn, Rukia Kuchiki slid it open and stepped out.

"Morning, Nanaya..."

Nanaya raised an eyebrow.

"Whoa, being polite today? That's new."

Usually, she'd bicker with him the moment she saw him.

"Hmph, I'm a Shinigami. I'm not gonna argue with a kid every time," she muttered, rolling her eyes.

Nanaya chuckled, reached out, and ruffled her hair.

"Don't worry. I've got your back."

Rukia's face instantly flushed red. She slapped his hand away.

"Don't touch my hair!"

Karakura First High School – Classroom

The classroom was buzzing with chatter. The topic? Yesterday's "meteorite."

"It was wild! I heard black flames were falling from the sky too!"

"Yeah, I saw it! Tons of people did!"

"Experts said it was because the meteorite was moving so fast. Friction made it catch fire—black flames, because of the special materials!"

"My sister was nearby. She said the flames didn't even feel hot, and they just burned forever without going out."

"That's insane! I wish I'd been there!"

Nanaya sighed, listening to the nonsense.

If you had been there, you'd be dead, he thought.

Even the shockwaves from Susanoo walking could kill normal people. Forget the black flames—Amaterasu was nothing to joke about.

"Nanaya-kun!"

Orihime Inoue ran over to him, eyes sparkling with gratitude.

"Thank you... I didn't know you did all that for me!"

Nanaya glanced at her and realized something—Orihime had regained her memories. He could sense faint spiritual power radiating from her body.

That hairclip she always wore was now brimming with energy, almost like a Zanpakutō.

"You remember your brother?" he asked.

"Yeah!" Orihime nodded eagerly. "Yesterday, Tatsuki and I were attacked by a monster. It knocked her away, and I got really angry..."

"Then... six little fairies appeared beside me."

"They said they wanted to protect me..."

As she explained, Nanaya understood—Orihime had awakened her powers, just like in the original story.

Her ability, Shun Shun Rikka, could interfere with the domain of the gods, even reject reality itself.

Before he could speak again, Ichigo walked in with Chad (Sado Yasutora), both radiating spiritual energy.

"The right arm of the giant, huh?" Nanaya thought. He could also detect a faint Hollow aura in them.

Looks like my Mangekyō Sharingan isn't the only thing the Hōgyoku awakened...

"Nanaya-san, Ichigo-san—morning!"

Ishida Uryū walked in and greeted them like nothing unusual had happened.

Nanaya grinned. "Good timing." He turned to the group. "Ichigo, Inoue, Sado, Rukia—come with me."

They all stared at him, confused.

A short time later, the group stood in front of Urahara's shop.

Ishida frowned, adjusting his glasses.

"Why did you drag me here too?"

He hadn't planned to come—but Nanaya had just grabbed him and used Shunpo.

"Quit whining and come in already."

Nanaya ignored his protests, pushed open the shop door, and called out:

"Manager Urahara! I'm borrowing your basement!"

"...?"

Nanaya blinked. Urahara was collapsed on his lounge chair, bruised and sporting massive dark circles under his eyes.

"Shh!"

Tessai hurried over, finger to his lips. He looked at Urahara sympathetically.

"The manager spent all night modifying memories. Before he could rest, a bunch of people came and beat him up..."

"Whoa!"

Nanaya whistled and stared at Urahara.

"Manager, you poor thing."

Urahara nearly choked. Who do you think caused all this!?

But it was partly his own doing, and he had no choice but to force a smile.

"Nanaya-san... what brings you here?"

"I need to use your basement."

"Sure, go ahead!"

Urahara agreed immediately. He didn't want to spend another second near this troublemaker.

They stepped into the vast, underground training ground.

Nanaya looked around at the seemingly endless space and smiled.

"Manager Urahara is pretty generous. He let me use this place so easily."

Yoruichi, still in her black cat form, rolled her eyes.

"Generous? He just wants you gone before something explodes."

It was clear Urahara didn't want to see Nanaya again anytime soon.

But what surprised even Yoruichi was that the boy standing before them was someone who could regularly give Kisuke Urahara—of all people—a headache.

After a brief explanation from Nanaya, both Orihime Inoue and Yasutora Sado were shocked to learn about the new world they'd been dragged into. But surprisingly, they didn't panic.

After all, they had awakened supernatural powers themselves. The existence of Hollows and Shinigami no longer felt far-fetched.

"Sado, come on," Nanaya said with a curious smile. "Hit me with your right arm. I want to see how much force it takes to blow away a Menos Grande."

Sado gave a silent nod. He wasn't one to talk much, but he knew from Ichigo that Nanaya wasn't someone ordinary.

With a thought, his right arm began to transform—expanding, elongating, and hardening into its distinctive black-and-red form. It looked like a massive, armored gauntlet fused with a shield, radiating raw power.

"My strength is considerable," Sado said quietly. "Be careful."

Nanaya didn't take it lightly either. His eyes gleamed red as his Mangekyō Sharingan activated. A crimson skeletal arm of Susanoo formed around him.

"Swish!"

With a sharp sound, Sado's fist tore through the air and smashed into Nanaya's Susanoo arm.

Boom!

The impact sent shockwaves bursting through the room. The ground trembled, and a gust of wind erupted from the clash.

Orihime let out a startled gasp as the force rippled past her.

Nanaya's eyes narrowed.

"No wonder he could take down a Hollow. That strength... it's no joke."

He braced against the impact, analyzing it calmly.

"It's almost on par with the Gillian I fought... maybe even stronger."

The two forces pushed against each other—Sado's black-red fist versus the crimson Susanoo arm. After a brief standoff, Susanoo proved stronger.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The shock knocked Sado back several steps, his shoes skidding across the stone floor.
