Rain's POV
The world smells different now.
The ashes have cooled. The rivers run clear again. The moon is whole — but its glow feels older somehow, wiser, as though it remembers everything we've done to reach this moment.
It has been three moons since the war ended.
Three moons since Azrath fell.
Three moons since I returned to the Supreme Blood Moon Pack… and became Batista's wife.
Even now, saying that in my head feels strange. Wife. Like a dream I never dared to touch.
The Supreme lands are quiet now — too quiet sometimes. But peace always feels like that at first… too still, too fragile, like it could shatter if I breathe too loud.
I visit Eldorvale often. I walk its forests and the burned plains where we fought.
The trees whisper again; the rivers hum with life. The mountains, once black with voidfire, glimmer with frost and new growth. I watch the children run through meadows where screams once echoed. I hear wolves laugh again.
