Chapter 115: The Intervention
Dawn broke over the destroyed stronghold like a bleeding wound. Liana hadn't moved from her perch on the broken tower.
The silver fire around her hands had dimmed to cold embers, but the void-black streaks pulsed with each beating. She felt them before she saw them.
Kael emerged from the rubble first, his grey eyes scanning the damage. Jace followed, his normal cocky grin replaced by grim determination.
Rowan came last, his face pale with the feelings he was picking up from her corrupted soul. "You came," Liana said without turning around.
"How brave. How stupid." "We had to," Kael said, stepping closer. "This isn't you, Liana. This isn't who you chose to be."
"Isn't it?" She finally faced them, and all three brothers stepped back. Her silver eyes had changed.
They were deeper now, like looking into a frozen lake. "Maybe this is who I was always meant to be. The omega who burned the world down."
