Past
Everyone was busy practicing. Hazel walked through the hallway, her steps slow as she peeked into the dance rehearsal room. Laughter echoed, music played low, and students—both boys and girls—were suggesting steps and perfecting moves.
Her eyes scanned the room.
Then—there he was.
Axel, already looking at her from across the hall, smiled and waved.
Hazel gave a small smile back.
He walked straight to her.
Axel: "Why are you here? Are you… interested?"
Hazel: "Of course not. I just came to watch the practice."
Axel: "Oh really?"
Hazel: "Yeah."
Axel nodded with a playful grin.
Axel: "So… do you know how to dance?"
Hazel: "No."
Axel: "Can I teach you?"
He winked.
Hazel raised her eyebrows in mock warning.
Axel laughed, grabbed her wrist, and ran to the stage in the practice hall.
She stumbled slightly, laughing nervously as they reached the center.
Axel: "Mikeee! Play the music!!"
He gently placed her hands on his shoulders and slid his own hands around her waist.
Hazel: "Axel—what are you doing? I really don't know how to dance."
Axel: "Watch me."
Meanwhile
Drake was sitting in his usual spot when Zayn walked up, an amused look on his face.
"Hey guys, Axel is participating in the programme," he said.
Lucas raised a brow. "Who told you?"
Ben grinned. "Come on, we got a thing to roast him!"
Zayn chuckled. "I saw his name in the dancing list."
Drake scoffed. "Tchh… interesting."
Caleb leaned in. "What about visiting him?"
Zayn nodded. "He's in the dancing hall right now."
Drake smirked. Without another word, the gang made their way to the practice hall.
As they reached the doorway, their steps slowed.
There she was—Hazel, on the stage. Axel's hand rested on her waist, and her hands were gently placed on his shoulders.
Levi frowned. "What the hell is she doing there?"
Drake's face changed. He said nothing, but his eyes were fixed on the scene.
The whole group stood silently, watching.
"Watch me," Axel said with a soft smile, and then—he pulled her closer.
Their bodies moved in sync with the music, Axel's hands lingering on her as they danced.
When Axel caught sight of Drake standing there, he didn't back off. Instead, he pulled Hazel in tighter, holding her with more pressure, more closeness.
Drake's jaw clenched. He didn't like the way Axel was touching her.
Not one bit.
The dance ended with a final spin and a close, intense moment. The crowd in the hall clapped and cheered, impressed.
But Drake—he was already storming out, gritting his teeth, veins showing, fists tight.
The rest of the gang just stood in silence, then slowly followed him out.
Hazel hadn't noticed them.
On stage, she laughed breathlessly. "God, you almost killed me!"
Axel smirked. "You liked it."
Hazel rolled her eyes playfully.
Axel leaned closer. "You could join me… we'd make a great team."
Hazel laughed again, not answering, but the moment lingered.
As they walked off the stage together, Raichel stepped up, a fake smile plastered on her face.
"Axel, we have to practice," she said, casting a jealous glance at Hazel.
Axel shrugged casually. "Sorry, I'm tired now. See you later."
With that, he walked away with Hazel. They headed to the cafeteria, their conversation light and full of laughter—
And just like that, they were getting closer.
Flat Scene
Hazel stepped out of the bathroom, towel-drying her wet hair. She slipped into her comfy pajamas and shut the door behind her before heading down the hallway.
She slowly pushed open the door to Drake's room. The entire gang was glued to the TV. Drake was pacing nearby, talking to someone on the phone.
When they noticed her, they all briefly glanced her way… then returned to the screen like she was invisible.
Drake, without even acknowledging her, walked past and slammed his room door shut.
Hazel blinked.
Hazel: "Phmm… weird."
She walked in and tried to join the conversation, but no one responded. They were busy discussing whatever was happening on the screen.
Ben: "Bro, I still think the choreography was tight. That group's gonna win for sure."
Caleb: "You kidding? Their timing was off in the second half."
Lucas: [arms folded] "Whatever. Still better than our school's usual disasters."
Levi: [silent, staring at the screen]
Zayn: [scrolling through his phone]
Hazel stood there, completely ignored, like a ghost.
She rolled her eyes and walked over to the wall.
Click.
She turned off the TV.
Instant silence.
All of them turned to her like she had committed a crime.
Hazel: "Ouch. Why are you guys looking at me like that?"
Ben: "Can you please move?"
Caleb: "Why did you turn off the switch?"
Lucas folded his arms tighter. Levi glared. Zayn slowly raised his phone like he was about to record her meltdown.
Hazel: "You all are acting weird."
All: "Soo?"
Hazel: "What's the matter?"
Zayn: "Didn't you say you don't know how to dance?"
Hazel blinked, confused.
Hazel: "Yeah, I sai—"
Then she paused.
Realization hit.
Hazel: "Oh... actually, it was him. I told him that I don't know how to dance."
Lucas: "And you danced with him?"
Levi: "We already told you to stay away from him."
Hazel: "Guys, chill. I'm not participating, okay?"
Silence.
No reaction.
Hazel sighed and rolled her eyes.
Hazel: "Fine."
She took out her phone and dialed Axel.
The phone rang only once before he picked up. She put it on speaker.
Axel (cheerful): "Hello! What's up? Already missed me?"
Hazel: "Come on Actually, Axel... I'm not interested in dancing. I already told you that."
Axel (playful): "So?"
Hazel: "I'm not participating."
Axel: "Ohh…"
Hazel: "Sorry, it's just not my thing."
Axel: "Yeah, it's okay. But still… you're the best dancer I've ever seen."
Click.
Call ended.
Hazel: "Are you all happy now?"
They all smiled like goofballs—grinning with all their teeth.
ALL: "DOUBLE HAPPYYY!!" 😂
Lucas pulled her onto the couch, and just like that, they all huddled in, watching the movie together.
Meanwhile, Drake stepped out of his room, still on a call. He didn't glance at anyone—just walked past and left the flat, closing the door behind him.
