Chapter 26 - Welcome, MI casa su casa

As they stepped into the penthouse, Liz's eyes widened in awe. The spacious living area was tastefully decorated with sleek, modern furniture and stunning city views that seemed to stretch on forever. The walls were adorned with contemporary art pieces, and the floor was made of polished marble that shimmered under the soft lighting. "Welcome, mi casa su casa," Landon said, his faint smile growing slightly wider as he watched Liz take in the surroundings.

Liz's gaze wandered around the room, taking in the grand piano situated in the middle of the space. It was a beautiful instrument, its polished surface reflecting the city lights outside. She noticed the piano was surrounded by comfortable-looking couches and chairs, creating a cozy nook for relaxation. To one side of the room, Liz spotted a state-of-the-art kitchen, equipped with high-end appliances and a large island in the center. The kitchen was separated from the living area by a sleek counter, where Landon was now leaning, watching her with a warm smile.

As she continued to explore the space, Liz noticed a hallway leading off to the side, which she assumed led to the bedrooms. She also spotted a few personal touches here and there, such as framed photos on the shelves and a few musical instruments scattered about. "t's beautiful," Liz said, turning to Landon with a smile. "You have great taste."

Landon chuckled, pushing off from the counter. "Thanks. I've had some help with the decorating, but I'm glad you like it." As he spoke, he gestured towards the piano. "I see you've spotted the centerpiece of the room. I like to play when I'm feeling stressed or inspired. It's a great way to unwind."

Liz's eyes returned to the piano, and she felt a pang of curiosity. "Do you play often?" she asked, her voice a little softer.

Landon nodded, his eyes lighting up with enthusiasm. "Yeah, I do. Playing the piano helps me express myself in a way that words sometimes can't."

Liz's eyes sparkled with amusement as she teased Landon. "Is that how you stay on top of the charts? Cause you eat, breathe, and sleep music?" she asked, her voice laced with playful sarcasm.

Landon laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Well, I do live and breathe music, but I think it's a bit more complicated than that," he said with a chuckle. "But yeah, music is a huge part of my life, and I feel most alive when I'm creating or performing."

Liz smiled, her gaze drifting back to the piano. "I can see that," she said. "You have a passion for music that's really inspiring. Maybe one day you can play something for me?"

Landon's face lit up with a warm smile. "I'd love to," he said. "I've been working on some new pieces, and I'd be happy to share them with you."

As they stood there, surrounded by the beauty of Landon's penthouse, Liz felt a sense of comfort and ease that she hadn't experienced in a long time. It was as if she had finally found a place where she could be herself, without fear of judgment or rejection. Landon seemed to sense her relaxed state and nodded towards the couch. "Why don't you sit down and make yourself at home?" he suggested. "I'll get us some drinks, and we can just unwind for a bit."

Liz nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Landon. She sat down on the couch, running her hand over the soft cushions as Landon headed towards the kitchen. As she watched him move with ease, she couldn't help but feel drawn to him. There was something about Landon that made her feel like she could trust him, like he would be there for her no matter what.

A few moments later

Landon returned with two steaming coffee cups, handing one to Liz with a warm smile. "I hope you like it," he said.

Liz took a sip, her eyes widening in appreciation. "Mmm, perfect," she said. "You're a great host." As they sipped their coffee, they chatted about their lives, sharing stories and laughter. Liz talked about her acting career, and Landon shared stories about his music. The conversation flowed easily, and Liz felt like she was getting to know Landon on a deeper level.

As they talked, Liz couldn't help but feel drawn to Landon's creative energy. She asked him about his music, and he told her about his inspirations and passions. She listened intently, her eyes sparkling with interest. Finally, Liz decided to take a chance. "Hey, Landon?" she said, her voice playful but persuasive. "You've had me play enough piano games on your phone on the way here. It's time you play something for me," she said, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Landon chuckled, his eyes lighting up with amusement. "You want me to play for you?" he asked, his voice tinged with surprise.

Liz nodded, her face serious. "Yes, I want to hear one of your unreleased songs. Something that shows me the real you."

Landon's expression softened, and he looked at Liz with a newfound intensity. "Okay," he said finally, his voice low and husky. "But just one song."

Liz grinned, feeling a sense of triumph. "Deal," she said.

Landon stood up, his eyes never leaving Liz's face. "Follow me," he said, nodding towards the piano. Liz's heart skipped a beat as Landon walked towards the piano. She felt a sense of anticipation building inside her, and she couldn't wait to hear him play.

Landon sat down at the piano, his fingers poised over the keys. He looked at Liz, a hint of a smile on his face. "This is one I thought of while i saw you on the hospital bed," he said. "It's a little rough, but I think it'll do."

Liz's eyes were fixed on Landon, her anticipation building. She watched as he began to play, the notes flowing smoothly from his fingers. The melody was hauntingly beautiful, and Liz felt herself getting lost in the music. As Landon sang, his voice was low and soulful, the words pouring out of him

Liz's eyes widened as she listened, her heart beating in time with the music. She felt like she was experiencing something special, something that Landon had created just for her. Without even realizing it, she pulled out her phone and started a live stream on Instagram. Within seconds, the comments started flooding in from fans and celebrities alike, all in awe of Landon's voice.

"Wow, who is playing the piano?" someone asked.

"Is that Landon singing?" another fan wondered.

"OMG, this is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard!" a celebrity gushed.

Liz's eyes darted to her phone, and she smiled, feeling a sense of excitement. She didn't care that she was broadcasting Landon's intimate performance to the world; she just wanted to share this moment with everyone. The music swelled, the piano notes dancing to the beat of the song. Liz felt like she was floating on air, her senses heightened. The music was like nothing she had ever heard before, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder.

As the song came to an end, Liz felt a sense of loss, like she didn't want the music to stop. She looked at Landon, her eyes shining with appreciation. "That was beautiful," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "You wrote that?"

Landon nodded, a small smile on his face. "Yeah, I did," he said. "I was inspired by you."

Liz's heart skipped a beat as she looked at Landon, feeling a sense of connection to him that she couldn't explain. "I love it," she said, her voice filled with sincerity. "It's like nothing I've ever heard before." The comments on her live stream continued to pour in, with fans and celebrities alike praising Landon's talent. Liz smiled, feeling proud of him. She knew that this moment would be one she would never forget.

"Does this confirm that Liz and Landon are dating?" someone asked.

"Are they in a relationship?" another fan wondered.

Liz's eyes widened as she realized she was still live on Instagram. She had gotten so caught up in the music that she had forgotten about the live stream. She quickly reached for her phone and stopped the live stream, her face flushing with embarrassment. Landon looked at her, a hint of amusement on his face. "I guess that was a bit more of a public performance," he said, chuckling.

Liz smiled, feeling a bit flustered. "Yeah, I guess so," she said, laughing. "I got caught up in the moment."

Landon nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "It's okay," he said. "I'm glad you enjoyed the song."

Liz smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Landon. He had shared something special with her, and she knew that she would never forget this moment. As she looked at Landon, she felt a sense of connection to him that she couldn't explain, and she wondered if maybe, just maybe, there was something more to their relationship than she had initially thought.
