Chapter 13 - Rumors

Landon's morning was filled with a flurry of notifications and messages, all buzzing about the breaking news: "TALENTED ARTIST CAUSES CENTRE EATON DE MONTRÉAL MALL TO CLOSE AND HOST AN UNPLANNED CONCERT." The news had spread like wildfire, and fans were still reeling from the euphoria of watching him perform for the first time as a solo artist since leaving Midnight Fusion.

As he scrolled through his phone, Landon saw that the media was going wild, with headlines and hashtags flooding social media platforms. Fans were sharing videos and photos from the impromptu concert, and the Centre Eaton de Montréal mall was trending worldwide.

The fans, meanwhile, were ecstatic, still basking in the excitement of the unplanned concert. They were sharing their experiences and reactions on social media, using hashtags like #LandonConcert and #MallMadness. Some were even calling for more impromptu performances, while others were speculating about Landon's future plans. As the day unfolded, Landon would likely take to social media to address the situation, thank his fans, and share his thoughts on the impromptu concert. For now, he was just trying to wrap his head around the whirlwind that had suddenly enveloped his life.

And at the center of all this? Cassie. She played a small part in what would be Landon's signature style of coming to your city unannounced and host a concert for fun when he was not too busy.

He smiled to himself, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Cassie. Even though she wasn't there to see it, he knew she would be thrilled to know that her influence had helped shape his signature style.

With a newfound sense of purpose, Landon picked up his phone and began to craft a social media post. He wanted to thank his fans for their enthusiasm and energy, and to share a little bit about what had inspired him to take the stage at the mall.

"Hey everyone," he typed, "I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out to the impromptu concert at Centre Eaton de Montréal. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all, but I have to say, it was an incredible experience. To everyone who's been supporting me on this journey, thank you for being part of my music."

With a smile, Landon hit post and waited for the reactions to roll in. He knew that this would spark a lot of conversation, but he was ready for it. He was ready to see where this new chapter in his music would take him.

@NbRust:

"I gotta say, I really loved that show. I mean, yeah it was unplanned but the energy was something else."

@Wilder6

"You don't have to like him, but you gotta admit that he controlled the crowed."

@imAgoodguy888:

"I can't get that 'Girls like you " outta my head. @Chillguy_Asher please Drop the sing!!"

Tuesday.*

The media frenzy surrounding Landon's personal life was heating up again. Just as the buzz from the impromptu concert was starting to die down, photos of him having lunch with Lizz Gillies had surfaced, sparking rumors of a romance. Landon's publicist was already fielding calls from media outlets, trying to gauge the situation and determine the best course of action. "Landon and Lizz are just friends. " She said.

Meanwhile, fans were going wild on social media, speculating about the nature of Landon and Lizz's relationship. #LandonAndLizz was trending on Twitter, with fans shipping the two stars and wondering if they were indeed a couple. Landon, on the other hand, was unbothered. He knew what comes with the territory of being a celebrityand this was just another wave he had to surf. He was trying by all means to enjoy his life without the intense media scrutiny. But with his growing fame, that was becoming increasingly difficult.

As for Lizz Gillies, she seemed to be taking the rumors in stride, perhaps even enjoying the attention. After all, any publicity was good publicity, right? She might even use this opportunity to promote her own projects or music. The question on everyone's mind, though, was: were Landon and Lizz really just friends, or was there something more going on? Only time would tell.

Lizz's manager, Amanda, dialed her client's number, getting straight to the point as soon as Lizz answered. "Hey, kiddo, have you seen the news? The media's going wild about you and Landon."

Lizz laughed, a hint of amusement in her voice. "Yeah, I saw. It's pretty funny, actually. I mean, we did have lunch, but it was just a friendly meetup."

Amanda's tone turned serious. "Listen, Lizz, we need to talk strategy here. The media's already shipping you two, and it's getting a lot of attention. We can use this to our advantage, but we need to be careful about how we play it."

Lizz sighed, knowing her manager was right. "What did you have in mind, Amanda?"

"Well, we could do a statement saying you're just friends, keep it light and simple. Or, we could ride the wave and see where it takes us. Maybe even do a little promo tie-in with Landon's team?" Lizz thought for a moment, weighing her options. She didn't want to deny the friendship aspect entirely, but she also didn't want to fuel the romance rumors too much. "Let's just stick to the truth, Amanda. We're friends, or at least i think so, the guy is kinda hard to read, and we had lunch. Let's not overthink it."

Amanda nodded, even though Lizz couldn't see her. "Alright, sounds good. I'll draft a statement and send it over to you. Let's keep it short and sweet." As they wrapped up their conversation, Lizz couldn't help but wonder what Landon thought about all this. Was he enjoying the attention, or was he getting tired of the scrutiny?

Landon's manager, Rachel, walked into his hotel room, phone in hand. "Hey, Landon, we need to talk about the rumors going around about you and Lizz Gillies."

Landon looked up from his laptop, where he was browsing through some music ideas. "Ohh?" Rachel sat down next to him. "The media's going wild, speculating about a romance between you two. We need to decide how to handle it."

Landon shrugged. "I don't know, Rach. We did have lunch, but it was just unplanned. I found her in my sit."

Rachel nodded thoughtfully. "I agree. Let's keep it simple and stick to the truth. We can release a statement saying you're just people who recently became friends and leave it at that."

Landon nodded. "Yeah, that sounds good to me. I don't want to overthink it either."

Rachel smiled. "Alright, I'll draft something and send it over to you. Let's keep the focus on your music, okay?"

Landon grinned. "Sounds like a plan, Rach. Let's do it."
