Chapter 93 - CHAPTER NINETY-TWO

"Isabel." Tricia whispered, noticing that she was looking at something in the distance. "What is it?" she immediately pulled her cousin, fearing they might be noticed by the people they were following.

"Tricia, my mind is telling me that they are not the ones we are following." Isabel said she would stand up again.

"What are you talking about? Who else are the women here but us?" She shook her head at what she was saying.

"I just have a different gut feeling."

"Sometimes, our gut feelings can be wrong too."

Tricia monitored the actions of the three. She noticed that they had been digging in the ground earlier, so she pulled Isabel away.

"When luck is on your side." She could only say this to her companion.

Tricia followed the gaze of the person and noticed the frown on their forehead. The person's hurried actions and constant looking around made it obvious that they were in a rush; their face remained unseen due to the darkness of the surroundings, the hood they wore, and the flashlight they carried.

"Is that the intuition you're referring to, Isabel?" she asked her cousin.

She didn't answer, perhaps becoming curious about what the three were looking for.

"My brother told me that they were looking for evidence." She looked at her.

"Let's follow them; maybe they know where the evidence they were looking for back then is hidden."

"Exactly, that's why we're following them."

A little while later, she was holding a plastic bag that contained the brown envelope. Tricia could clearly see it, and she wouldn't mistake it for anything other than one of the pieces of evidence they had been looking for all along.

The soil they had dug quickly covered it, causing it to look back and swiftly disappear. When it had moved a considerable distance away, they immediately followed it to see where it would go next.

They couldn't let it be known that they were following their Thalia group.

They are here again, hiding, waiting to see what actions it will take. They started digging into the ground again.

"Isabel, how many proofs are they looking for from your brother?" Tricia asked Isabel again.

"Three, so, they're here to get the evidence." Isabel said, nodding.

"You know that Chesca also knows where the information is hidden, and luckily we were able to follow them today." Tricia added.

She stood up with a piece of evidence; they just had to take it to finally get what they wanted.

They hurriedly followed the group they were monitoring, but it abruptly vanished from their sight.

They were both alarmed at where Tricia was wearing it at that time. She couldn't determine whether their eyes were playing tricks on them.

Damn it! She could only say it in her mind.

They caught sight of three shadows. They quickly followed the shadows and stopped when they saw Thalia holding something in her hand.

"Come on, let's surprise them; let's take the shortcut." Isabel said.

She just nodded, and they quickly headed to the shortcut they used yesterday. When they arrived, there was no one there. They sat down and waited for their group member, Thalia. They were not disappointed, and they heard footsteps.

Then, the three faces they were waiting for immediately appeared; she even saw their surprise.

Isabel just smiled. Tricia quietly listened and noticed that Thalia was still holding the evidence from before.

"Where have you been?" Isabel asked.

She even hid what they were holding. It didn't answer; it was evident on its face how they would get past them.

"Is that what you call important, Thalia?" Isabel asked as she stood up.

"Don't you trust me? I'm hurt, you know." Tricia dismissed her cousin's drama with a simple shake of her head.

Thalia forced a smile at Isabel. "Isabel, I can't disturb you because you're our guest, right? Besides, your hands will get dirty if you help," said Thalia, and just smiled at Isabel.

"Oh, I don't mind that my hands will get dirty if you need my help." Isabel said.

"No, it's really okay, I need this; I still have to deliver it to the one who asked me," Thalia said as she walked away.

Tricia looked at Isabel to stop her dramatics. Isabel snaps her finger, and the men who will help them catch it come out.

Ericka stared at them, confused.

"What does this mean, Isabel?" Confused and alarmed, the three asked as they were surrounded by armed men.

Isabel simply smiled at them. "Thank you for the friendship." Isabel ended up saying it.

"Does your answer mean you are planning all of this?" Chesca asked them.

"Yes, Ruth. Oh no, I will correct my error. Yes, Chesca Fuego." She said that back then.

"How do you know my true self?" Chesca asked them.

"Well, we have known your true self for a long time now, Chesca. Your dad will be thrilled to see you soon," Tricia said.

Ambushed at the door, the three were on the verge of escape. They immediately made them smell the sleeping drug.

"Sleep well; you still have a journey ahead." She said, then immediately took the bag containing the envelope and a small box where the USB was.

"We are very lucky today, Isabel," Tricia said.

They found a map that had fallen from Thalia's pocket when she carried it. She furrowed her brow.

"What's this?" she asked as she picked up a piece of paper.

She immediately unfolded the writing on that paper.

A map? She could only wonder what was in her mind.

"Isabel," she called her.

She immediately handed it over to her cousin. Isabel furrowed her brow while staring at what Tricia had given.

"Map?" she asked her.

Tricia just shrugged his shoulders.

Isabel just smiled. "We can use this, Tricia." Isabel said while smiling meaningfully.

"Call your brother." She said to Isabel.

Isabel had already called her brother.

"We've completed our task, and I also have a gift for you." Isabel even said on the other line.

Isabel immediately hung up after calling her brother.
