Chapter 32 - CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

"Eat first, Thalia." Felix spoke up.

Jenny was surprised that this was what they were going to talk about as siblings; Thalia looked at her while facing the food at that moment.

She even saw Thalia put the food in her mouth, chewing it as if she couldn't taste what she was eating now. She had long wanted to talk to her sister.

Jenny even heard Felix just sigh.

"Thalia, when are you traveling?" Felix continued to gaze at his sister, who was in the middle of eating.

"Before our camping trip happened." She already admitted it.

"You, Jenny?" He turned to Jenny, who was now quietly listening to their conversation.

"Since our parents died." Her voice trembled as if she was trying to hold back an answer.

"It has been a long time. What do you see in your premonition?" Felix asked her another question.

"Brother," she just swallowed. "I told you before that I knew what would happen to our parents that night." She felt a pang of guilt deep inside her now as she remembered what happened to her parents. Jenny just clenched her fists.

"Greg, you see them, don't you?" Felix then asked their youngest, who was being quiet.

"Yes, I can see them all." He ended up saying.

"You can talk to them too, right?" Next, he posed the question to their youngest child.

Their youngest, holding onto Thalia's sleeve, simply nodded.

"I know I have wronged you greatly, but I just want to protect you with my abilities. Was your premonition today, Jenny, at the scene?"

She was surprised and met her brother's gaze, her hair on her arms suddenly standing on end. She stroked it to calm her feelings. "Yes, brother, earlier I saw what happened, and it felt so real." She still can't forget what happened to her back then.

Felix just messed up her hair.

"This ability of ours now is connected to the past that I am desperately trying to forget." He was just beginning to express his thoughts. He looked at them one by one then.

"W—What do you mean, brother?" Jenny asked back then, her mind still chaotic, but she was trying to understand everything because she knew that in their conversation now, she would find answers to the questions that had long been troubling her.

"The Fuegos."

"Fuego? W—What do we have to do with the Fuego family?" Startled by the current events, Thalia questioned the connection to the Fuego family.

Jenny just gasped; she knows something too. "Fuego, are the deaths of Fernan and his siblings related? Is that right?" She asked. She saw in her premonition the death of her cousin.

She chose to remain silent and ignore the truth because she didn't want to get involved in the trouble they had caused.

Thalia frowned and scratched her head.

"Yes, Fernan was one of those involved with the Fuego back then, and I was also implicated with that family because I helped Fernan with his plan to rescue the other two Fuego children."

Jenny suddenly broke out in a sticky sweat; she remembered the premonitions she had seen. She also saw Thalia's reaction back then.

"Mikaela Fuego," Thalia mentioned back then, still recalling what she had seen earlier.

She swallowed hard; she knew Mikaela Fuego; she was the twin of Ellese Fuego; she always saw her in her premonitions, searching for something and fleeing in the forest with Ruth.

Ruth's true identity can no longer be hidden; she and her sister spoke before their intense conversation today. Ruth's name is Chesca Fuego.

"Chesca Fuego," her memory returned as Thalia suddenly spoke.

"Brother, Ruth and Chesca, they are the same person, right?" This one asked, noticing the worried eyes.

There, she didn't move anymore; she didn't want to talk about it anymore. That's why she had Chesca watched by her brother, because she knew the truth due to her ability to glimpse the present.

"Yes, Ruth and Chesca are one person." Felix answered them directly, without a trace of a lie.

Thalia didn't reply anymore. Thalia became friends with Chesca inside the school.

"Thalia, even if her identity is false, whatever you knew Ruth to be back then, she is still Ruth." Felix gave this advice to Thalia.

Jenny saw her just nod and not say anything more.

"With the assistance of other organization members, Fernan saved Mikaela first and then Chesca. However, Chesca experienced severe trauma as a result of what happened, and when the memory she had long since forgotten resurfaces, she develops a headache that is resistant to immediate relief." As their older sibling began to recount the story, they listened.

"Her memory was erased, with the help of a kind-hearted person who also knew Chesca's true identity, and the Dionson family took Chesca in, hiding her true identity and disguising her as Ruth Dalia Dionson." His explanation.

"I processed Ruth's papers to make it seem like she was the only child of the Dionsons, who arranged for her to come from another country and return to the Philippines, since Chesca is not well-known."

"The premonitions I used to see were true, brother; I know you are involved in what is happening." Jenny clenched her fists.

She looked at her brother, remembering the premonition that he would be in danger.

"Don't you know that what you're doing will hurt you?" She looked at her eldest brother with anger.

"Brother, about our parents; tell me the truth," Thalia said back then.

"Is the Fuego family involved in the death of our parents?" Thalia's questions came one after another.

Even though it was quiet and calm, Felix already knew the answer.

"Brother, I understand that you are currently assisting someone, but your actions are endangering your safety." Her concern was evident as she also felt annoyed with herself.

Felix smiled at her with sadness in his eyes. "Jenny, I can't stop what I'm doing anymore. I need to do this, Jenny." He said he saw the determination in her eyes.

He even turned to Thalia.

"Your journey is becoming even deeper, Thalia. Have you been to that place?" Felix asked.

Jenny kept glancing back and forth at her sister. She was worried about Thalia. She couldn't understand which place Thalia was referring to.

Thalia didn't immediately answer Felix's question, and she, in turn, waited for her response.

"I saw them; they were restless, Brother; they became lost souls." Thalia swallowed hard.

Lost soul? Jenny asked herself this question. She no longer knows if she can still understand what they will hear and discuss tonight.
