Chapter 279 - Poor Vision

For example, in this battle between the Iron Man team and the Captain America team, this guy was just playing soy sauce and always paddling around. If Tony hadn't pulled him in, he would probably have been like Blaine—watching the show and idling on the sidelines.

The atmosphere fell back into a stalemate. No one could convince anyone else just now. Now that Blaine was here, no one dared to act rashly.

"Why? All of you are suddenly soft-spoken bastards—don't you dare do it?"

"Weren't you all pretty arrogant just now?"

"Come on, show off that arrogance."

"If you don't move, then all of you come at me together, and I'll beat you."

"No matter where you really want to go, none of you are going to look good."

Seeing everyone suddenly fall silent, all of them staring at Blaine without daring to make a move, made Blaine feel a little awkward.

Blaine would never be afraid of anyone if it came to fighting, but now that they weren't making a move, he was too embarrassed to strike first.

That was why Blaine used these low-level provocation tactics to stir up their anger.

Sure enough, someone finally couldn't stand Blaine's posturing. The moment Blaine finished speaking, his danger perception instantly activated, and a chill ran down his spine.

"Can't take it anymore? Hmph. I'm waiting for you."

Blaine muttered to himself. His movements didn't slow at all. A backflip let him evade the attack, and he charged straight toward the source of danger.

Boom…

A flash of red light flared, and the spot where Blaine had just been standing was blown apart. Unexpectedly, it was Scarlet Witch who lost her patience first.

The old saying really is true: a woman may be beautiful, but with big breasts and no brains. They were all superheroes here—others could tell it was an obvious provocation, or maybe Scarlet Witch had just joined the Avengers and was eager to prove herself…

Blaine, now close, lunged straight at Scarlet Witch's face with the palm of a Jackie Chan–style claw.

Zizizizizizizizizizizizizizizizizizi…

Suddenly, the sense of danger flared again, even stronger than before.

Blaine dodged sideways. It turned out to be a laser fired from Vision's Mind Stone. That beam could blow up an entire building—no wonder his danger perception had escalated.

With that sidestep, Scarlet Witch had already slipped out of Blaine's attack range. At the same time, Vision moved to shield her, positioning himself between the two and watching Blaine with full vigilance.

"Oh ho."

"Sprinkling dog food? A large-scale public display of affection."

These two were so close, yet they were still on opposite sides. Tony and Captain America were really put in an awkward position because of them.

Vision was eager to protect his lover. However, since she had dared to make a move, she had to be prepared to pay the price. A shot had already been fired—Blaine wasn't going to stop just like that.

With his first strike failing, Blaine turned and teleported directly in front of Scarlet Witch. When dealing with an enemy, it didn't matter whether you were a woman or not. That gentleman's courtesy of not hitting women didn't apply here at all.

Seeing the Bounty Hunter suddenly appear before them, both Scarlet Witch and Vision were startled.

Scarlet Witch quickly raised a Chaos Magic Power barrier in front of her. Vision crossed his arms, clearly preparing to use the same trick he had used to knock down Ant-Man earlier.

"Hard against hard. I like it."

He muttered to himself. Blaine then threw a punch straight at Vision.

Boom…

At the moment they collided, an earth-shaking roar erupted. With the two of them at the center, a shockwave blasted outward in an instant. The surrounding wooden crates shattered on the spot.

When everyone looked toward the center of the shockwave, the scene from when Ant-Man was struck didn't repeat itself. Not only had the Bounty Hunter not fallen, he was still standing in place.

As for Vision, everyone was shocked to see that he had been blasted away at some point, his entire body embedded into the aircraft behind him.

Only then did Vision realize that a large section of his arm had been visibly dented in that collision.

Everyone was stunned. This was a vibranium body—what kind of power was this, to actually dent vibranium? If it were Tony's armor instead, wouldn't it have been scrapped instantly? It was terrifying.

Looking at the Bounty Hunter, they saw him casually wave his hand and launch another attack at Scarlet Witch, as if the impact just now had nothing to do with him.

To others, Blaine looked terrifyingly strong, but Blaine himself didn't think it was exaggerated at all. Wearing the Hunter suit, if he really wanted to, he could tear Vision apart alive.

The moment Vision was sent flying, Blaine was already back in front of Scarlet Witch. He lifted his leg and kicked straight at her Chaos Magic Power barrier.

Blaine didn't hold back on this kick, nor did he need to when facing Chaos Magic Power. But just as the kick landed, he suddenly felt a rush of wind approaching.

Blaine ignored it. His kick was already committed—he treated it as a return gift for her opening shot earlier.

Boom…

"Uh—"

Blaine was too fast. There was no way to see the shadow of the attack when he kicked, and he didn't give Scarlet Witch any time to change her move.

Scarlet Witch had originally intended to wrap her Chaos Magic Power around the Bounty Hunter's leg and throw him away, but the moment his kick connected, she spat out a mouthful of blood.

Cough—

As soon as the kick landed, the rushing wind reached Blaine. Turning around, he saw it was a finely forged steel arrow. Blaine caught it—and, as expected, the arrow exploded.

"If you strike and don't return the favor, it's impolite. Take an arrow from me."

With a flick of his wrist, the Elemental Bow was already in his hand. He fired an arrow straight toward Hawkeye's position.

Hawkeye had been observing everyone's movements from above, but not a single small motion escaped Blaine's eyes.

This arrow was just an ordinary arrow, inscribed with a basic magic circle. Blaine didn't dare use elemental arrows, let alone cause an airport-level explosion. He wasn't about to blow the city into the sky.

The mission was to bring everyone back. If everyone ended up dead, it would be a complete joke. Besides, Blaine was already on the edge of becoming a public enemy—he had no intention of being crusaded by the masses. Forget Nick Fury's position, let alone some fifty-billion commission.

Even so, an ordinary arrow was more than enough to make Hawkeye suffer.

Hawkeye lived up to his reputation as a veteran archer. Missing his shot, he immediately rolled to the side to evade the incoming attack and prepare his next move.

What he didn't expect, however, was that even as he rolled away, the arrow fired by the other side adjusted its trajectory as if it had eyes.
