Chapter 232 - Insufficent

Why? Because Blaine possessed the ability of Absolute Hit, he didn't need a launcher at all. When paired with Hawkeye, anything he aimed at could explode on impact. Moreover, the detonation method of the Explosive TNT was quite unique.

It required an external force to trigger — something that puzzled many people, since ordinary firearms couldn't affect it. That was precisely why the device only cost 100 million.

"Ten of them," Blaine ordered.

In other words, he was both rich and unafraid to spend. With these in hand, he no longer had to worry about encountering another Sokovia-level disaster. What he lacked now was raw, explosive power.

If he ever met someone too strong to defeat head-on, he could simply throw an Explosive TNT, run, and see if the opponent dared to follow.

After all, it was a consumable — once used, it could be repurchased. And besides its tremendous destructive power, the biggest advantage was its efficiency.

"Calculate the remaining balance."

"[Flood Dragon Trident], price: 20 billion.

[Spring and Autumn Saber Technique], price: 1 million.

[Explosive TNT], ten units, total price: 1 billion.

[Magic Engraving], price: 1 billion.

Total value, after a 20% discount, calculated.

Balance: …"

"There's still 200 billion left? Then keep building."

Blaine thought about it. There didn't seem to be anything else that needed upgrading.

He had already bought everything he wanted and enhanced everything he could. But to have so much money left unspent — that was unbearable.

"System, can I buy materials for upgrades?"

[Not currently available. Upgrade materials must be prepared by the host.]

"Nani? There's actually something the Hunter System doesn't sell?" Blaine frowned. He had wanted to buy Vibranium to reinforce the Elemental Bow. Originally, he'd planned to fuse the White Snake Bow with it but had forgotten in the moment.

"Then upgrade the Hunter Space instead!"

After thinking it over, he realized how useful that feature truly was.

The last time in Sokovia, when the city was completely evacuated, even Nick and the Avengers were stunned — and honestly, so was Blaine.

Nearly two hundred million people had been absorbed and later released safely, proving that the Hunter Space could indeed accommodate living beings and protect them from harm.

Didn't that make it Blaine's personal safe haven — his ultimate life-saving trump card? If he ever raised his own army or assassination squad, he could hide them in the Hunter Space and deploy them whenever needed. Then, wherever Blaine went, he'd essentially command an army.

Imagine — facing millions of enemies alone, only to summon an entire iron-blooded legion out of thin air. The shock value alone would paralyze any opponent.

[[Hunter Space 2.0] upgrading to 3.0 requires 800 billion. Insufficient balance. Upgrade not recommended.]

The system's cold voice shattered Blaine's fantasy, pulling him back to reality.

"Eight hundred billion? System, do you really think money falls from the sky?" he groaned.

"It doesn't come from the wind," he muttered. "It doesn't come from water either. Every dollar was earned through hard work. Eight hundred billion, seriously… woo woo woo…"

"Forget it. I'll just upgrade my physique honestly."

"Another fifty points — how much?"

"Host's current physique: 425. To upgrade to 450 requires [X]. To reach 475 requires [X]. Total: [X]. Current balance insufficient. Purchase not recommended."

"…"

"It's only 25 points. I've still got 200 billion. I refuse to believe I can't spend my own money. What kind of torture is this?"

[Purchasing 25 points of physical fitness with a 20% discount — confirm?]

"Damn it, do it."

[Purchase complete. Host's current balance: [X]. Total consumption has reached [X]. Hunter Level upgraded to A.]

"Huh? Damn, I've already spent over a trillion without even realizing it."

Blaine wasn't exactly surprised by the Hunter Level upgrade — he was more shocked that he'd already spent trillions.

From the moment he'd first crossed over — starting with nothing but a fifty-meter blade — he'd never imagined he'd both earn and spend trillions within just a few months. Terrifying.

If he told anyone that, they'd never believe it.

Even Nick, if told that Blaine had 'earned' trillions, might reluctantly accept it. But if told he'd 'spent' trillions, Fury would absolutely refuse to believe it.

Trillions — the number of zeros alone could make anyone dizzy. Spending that much in a few months was impossible unless you were literally burning it.

Yet for Blaine, a few months had passed like a blink.

So much wealth had slipped through his fingers. Trillions — enough to fill an entire room, maybe even three buses.

At that moment, Blaine felt both overwhelmed and satisfied as he reviewed his progress.

He closed the system shop and opened his Status Panel.

Mall Balance: 1.1692 billion

Looking at the remaining balance, Blaine's heart ached.

Over 500 billion reduced to just over 1 billion in a single day. If he'd used that to tip livestream anchors, he'd probably be number one worldwide by now…

Still, for all that spending, the returns were immense.

The promotion to Hunter Level A brought massive benefits — the store discount had increased from 20% to 40%, and his skill and equipment slots had doubled from 15 to 30. Even if he couldn't fill them all yet, it was a satisfying sight.

It was like having a phone with hundreds of gigabytes of storage — you'd never use it all, but it still felt good to have.

Similarly, Blaine now possessed an arsenal of powerful skills and weapons, well worth the cost.

And with his newly enhanced physique — already three-quarters of the way to god-level — the investment had truly paid off.
