"Incredible, how did you do it?" The next day at noon, the major met Liu A'dou, who had disappeared the night before, and witnessed a pivotal moment in history.
Kallion had been activated by Liu A'dou.
"You could do it too," Liu A'dou smiled, attributing it all to a little deception.
"Really?" The major didn't believe it at first and even suspected Liu A'dou might be a Martian, though he didn't quite seem like one.
Liu A'dou pointed to a small black box, about the size of a matchbox, attached under the sphere and said, "This is it. I call it the Martian Factor Simulation Box."
"The Martian Factor Simulation Box?"
"Yes, inside it are Martian genes. When we want to activate Martian technology, our information passes through the Martian Factor Simulation Box first. It processes the Martian genes, inputs Martian signals to deceive the system, and activates the technology."
The major's mouth opened and closed in shock. Liu A'dou had created such a powerful machine in just one night? In reality, it was based on the X Factor Detector, which identified abnormalities in the Martian genes, combined with Liu A'dou's own simulated signals.
Having spent years in the superhero world, Liu A'dou had learned a lot. He was afraid that without improving himself, Batman would eventually outsmart him. Motivation led to progress, and now Liu A'dou was a competent hero.
"How is that possible?" The major squatted and looked at the box attached to the sphere, still having trouble believing it. "Earthlings can really use Martian technology now? Is this box complicated? Can it be mass-produced?"
"Of course, it can be mass-produced."
"Good, good." The major swore to bring this back to his country. But for now, he needed to operate the spaceship. "Bring the weapons up. We need to see if this ship can fly us back home. Japan is basically beyond saving now; we need to figure out how to safely leave the island."
Without wasting time, they moved the ammunition from the warehouse, clearly abandoned along with the spaceship.
The major sat in the captain's seat, his emotions running high. He gathered a few people to start learning how to fly. Thankfully, the manual wasn't taken. As long as there was a manual, anyone could fly a mecha.
By evening, the soldier responsible for observation reported that Martians had landed on the island. It was a strange mech with six arms.
The major frowned. "Did the Martians find us?"
Liu A'dou shook his head. "If they found us, they would have attacked already. I think they might be waiting for someone."
How did you know? The major already suspected that Liu A'dou seemed to know everything. He had even created the Martian Factor Simulation Box, something that seemed impossible. He really had no idea who Liu A'dou was. But with someone like him around, they could rest easy. At least their chances of survival had increased.
"What should we do? Should we engage? With Kallion, even if we can't win, we can escape." The major was eager. He was in his early thirties and this was his first time on the battlefield.
"Not yet. Let's see who the Martians are waiting for." Liu A'dou knew they were waiting for the protagonist.
Sure enough, after nightfall, a helicopter carrier approached Seed Island.
"Seed Island."
"Ina Han?" Looking at the poker-faced male lead, Yunzi was worried. Although the male lead had shown intelligence and bravery along the way, he was still just a high school student. She couldn't understand how much pressure he was under.
"Ina Han, I'm fine," Ina Han said expressionlessly.
A red-haired Lei Ai looked at Ina Han strangely. The daughter of a Martian spy, she had been observing the people on the ship all along. The most notable was the one who had defeated the Martian knight, Ina Han. His intelligence was simply astonishing.
On the ship, there were also other Martians, including Princess Vers and her little maid. The princess wasn't assassinated; she had a substitute attend the parade due to illness, but the assassination attempt triggered a series of butterfly effects. The princess didn't know who had tried to kill her, so she chose to escape in disguise. She eventually met the protagonist in New Luhuan City, where he protected her. The protagonist had already figured out her identity but chose to keep it a secret to protect her.
On the ship, there was also Ina Han's sister, a warrant officer, KG7 pilot, along with some of the protagonist's classmates and seniors. The aircraft carrier's captain was Dalzanna, a senior colonel in the United Government, a brave female officer who enjoyed teasing her own subordinate.
Now they were approaching Seed Island because they needed supplies before heading to the Soviet Union. Japan used to have more fleets, but the fact was, all other warships had been wiped out. They had only reached this point due to the protagonist's luck, but it seemed their luck had run out, as the Martian knights were already waiting for them.
"Attack, my minions!" A dull yellow mech launched six arms that flew out, extending the distance and accelerating for an impact. Its arms served as reusable projectiles.
Boom!
The ship's gun turrets were destroyed instantly.
"Mech forces, attack!" The captain shouted, not expecting to be attacked at this point. They had to locate the enemy, or they would run out of ammunition and supplies.
"Understood!"
The people hiding in the base also heard the explosions. "Looks like it really was an ambush. The Japanese side's aircraft carrier was the one caught."
Boom boom!
Though there were only six arms, their speed after acceleration made them even more powerful than missiles.
"Haha, Earth scum, take a good look at the power of Martians. The Emperor blesses Vers. Kill!"
The aircraft carrier was instantly pierced with several large holes. Only then did the mechs lift off the deck, using vertical movement, but they had no idea from what angle the next attack would come.
It was a fight to the death. This was when Ina Han's moment came. He observed and realized that it took a long distance to accelerate the fist, and it was a straight-line attack. So, if he changed the bullet's direction, he could avoid getting hit.
He quickly swapped to larger-caliber bullets and aimed. Since it was a straight-line attack, it was easy to aim. He shot!
Boom!
The seawater splashed onto the deck, but the mech and ship were unharmed.
"?" Even their own people didn't understand what happened. It was simply too outlandish a move from the protagonist.
"What happened?" The major and Liu A'dou were watching from the side.
Liu A'dou explained, "By colliding the bullet with the fist, I changed the trajectory of the punch. The potential energy of the punch was all in one direction, so by applying a small force in a different direction, the punch could be displaced further, thus avoiding getting hit."
"…" The major was stunned. The pilot of the orange mech was impressive, but when compared to our red pilot, it still fell short.
"If I were a Martian knight, I would attack from beneath the sea."
"Like a torpedo?" The major nodded. That way, it would indeed be harder to intercept. It seemed like Red You San was even more powerful than the orange one. "What should we do?"
"Let it be. I estimate the Martian knight won't be able to handle the orange one. Once their fight is over, we'll immediately take control of their ship. We need manpower for the next phase of our operation."
"Uh, what operation?" The major was confused. Wasn't the plan to break out? Why was there another operation now?
"We're going to make a surprise attack on the Martian Yang Lucheng. Since we can now control Martian technology, those Yang Luchengs are the best bombs. If we send them to the other side of the space gate and detonate them, we can end this absurd war."
"…" The major's eyes nearly popped out. "Wait, you want to throw nuclear bombs at Mars, like the Americans did?"
"Exactly." Liu A'dou didn't know why, but since coming to this world, he had been feeling increasingly irritated. This feeling only grew stronger after joining the fight.
It was actually related to the moon's destruction. Liu A'dou came from a world where the moon was intact, so the chaotic magnetic and gravitational fields of this Earth disturbed him. Because of this interference, when he acted, he didn't think much about it. People dying didn't bother him. He didn't see it as a problem. This disturbance wasn't an invasion, and Liu A'dou didn't notice anything unusual.
