"Oh my god… She shifted!" Alicent was the first to react. "She has a wolf!" she squealed in joy. "A queen wolf!"
While others were too stunned to speak, their eyes shifting between the ashes and Evangeline.
Celestia and Ezaar rushed toward Evangeline's side. Devlin, who was staring at Darkin's ashes, came out of his daze and turned around quickly. He took out his leather coat and passed it to his sister standing beside him.
"Put this on her."
Alicent took the coat before running toward Evangeline, who was now surrounded by the two wolves. Ezaar's wolf growled possessively, but it didn't stop the young girl. The weather was cold, and his mate might just die even before they could uncover the truth.
With lots of struggle, Alicent helped Evangeline up and put the coat around. A frown tugged her lips as she heard light snores. Looking at the wolves, she murmured, "She is sleeping."
