Chapter 59 - Ch.59: The Two Hearts Of The Root

CHAPTER 59 — "THE TWO HEARTS OF THE ROOT"

> "To save the world… you must learn to die twice."

---

Scene 1 – Split

The crew divides at the broken fork of the forest.

Jakku, Reen, and Gift take the path laced with spore winds and thundering root-pulses — toward the True Root Body.

Colossal, embryonic—300 feet tall.

Each footstep sinks into soil that hums like a dying god.

Meanwhile, Maiku and Matthew face the Avatar — tall as a giant, formed of bone-ash and star-sap.

Its voice is a thousand whispers in a single breath:

Narrator: "Only when both hearts bleed can the Root finally die."

---

Scene 2 – Avatar Unleashed

The Avatar calculates every move—the echoe of humanity's failed techniques.

Matthew releases flame—

The Avatar sidesteps.

A bark-hand crashes into his ribs. He spits blood.

Maiku leaps—punched in mid-air by vine-whips that learn mid-fight.

The Avatar's eyes glow with evolving memory.

Maiku : "It's learning,"

Maiku (breathes) : "Too fast."

---

Scene 3 – The Core Swarms

Jakku slashes a rising tendril—

Only for the ground to yawn open. Root-teeth.

Giant tentacles like iron cables burst from the soil.

Root teeth.

Gift twists in air, cuts through one, but another knocks him off balance.

Reen dashes—

A precise, deadly arc—

But it barely chips bark.

She falls.

Then...

FLASH!!

They cut a multitude but they're still coming.

Suddenly.

A tree comes hurtling toward her. She braces—

Gift is suddenly there. Cuts it in half.

Gift : "Keep calculating, Reen. I'll keep you breathing."

Jakku : "Without you we wouldn't be here. You're our backbone."

Reen sheds a tear and begins analyzing potential weak of the True Root Body.

---

Scene 4 – Wounds That Sing

The Root Avatar dashes like lightning.

Matthew is slashed across the chest.

He stumbles. Maiku catches him.

Matthew (mutters, broken) : "I've buried too many brothers to burn again."

---

Scene 5 – A Roar Remembered

He sees them. The dragons.

In the red haze of pain, he hears them.

They don't speak in words — just in heat, honor, and sorrow.

Dragon Ancestor : "You still carry the Roar. Roar now."

---

Scene 6 – Gift's Final Arrow

Gift swaps with a falling leaf—blinks behind the True Root Body—

SLASH. Into its eye.

It howls, sap pouring out like molten lava.

Jakku follows up, sacrificing his sword— Cuts deep, blood spraying.

He roars, invoking David's Law. His strength surges.

But as he lands—

The Root Body kicks Gift like a ragdoll into stone.

He crumples.

Reen stands alone. Calculating. Bleeding. Terrified.

Reen(crying) : "There's always a weakness. There's always—"

But her equations don't solve in time.

---

Scene 7 – The Merge Begins

Above, the Avatar raises arms.

Roots spiral from the sky, linking it to the True Root Body.

Maiku: "It's merging."

He charges—thrown back by unseen force.

Matthew steps forward, eyes flaming.

He slices the Root Avatar.

The Roar seems to have Awakened. However, it's still dormant.

Matthew uses Acid. It burns the Root Avatar.

He leaps and punches Matthew twice in the face.

Matthew takes it and tries his best to stay up.

He uses flame to burn the whips and then Pressure roar to stun the Avatar.

But for only a second.

Then.

Six punches—Stomach, Ribs, Face, Legs, Hands and Chest.

Dropped defeated.

Root Avatar: "Time's done"

---

Scene 8 – The Breaking

Jakku grabs Gift's body, dragging him through mud.

The True Root Body stomps.

Shockwave.

Jakku is blown away.

Jakku's knee sprains. He drops.

Reen screams—dodges another tree-slam by inches.

Then it howls.

Root Avatar: "I am the echo of famine. I am hunger before language."

"The gods weep inside my roots."

---

Scene 9 – Maiku's Charge

Maiku stares at the merging horror.

Maiku(to Matthew) : "Tell them… I forgave it."

He steps forward. Fire builds. Skin cracks. Oxygen melts.

Sky-Fire spirals around him like a star collapsing.

5000°C.

The air burns with his breath.

The sky becomes glass.

---

Scene 10 – The Punch

He punches.

SILENCE.

Then—

BOOOOM!

The Avatar is flung 200 feet.

The grove tilts.

Trees fall like dominoes.

But—

The True Root Body opens its mouth—

And swallows Maiku whole.

---

Scene 11 – Aftermath

The battlefield is ruin.

Gift: unconscious.

Jakku: crippled.

Reen: shaking.

Matthew: screaming.

He burns everything near him in rage.

They find a cave. They crawl inside it like rats.

The forest is too loud with silence.

---

Scene 12 – Voice Beneath the Ground

As they hide—

A voice from the roots below:

> "One hand has bled. The heart still beats."

"Come watch it break."

---

Scene 13 – The Avatar in Ash

The Avatar limps to an abandoned outpost, half of its face burned, flames licking its shoulder.

Root Avatar : "You robbed me of godhood, Maiku," it hisses.

Root Avatar: "But I will return. I will merge. I will become history."

It sits, brooding. Healing. Hating.

---

Scene 14 – Silence and Steam

Matthew kneels in ash.

In his hand, the dirt breathes steam—

Like breath from a dying mouth.

Matthew(thinking to himself) : "Why am I so useless? I could've saved him. I should've been eaten not Maiku."

He begins to cry.

Scene 15 – Inside the Root

Maiku stands…

Inside a stomach of vines, bone, stars, and memory.

He looks around—

And the Root dreams through him.

The next battle has already begun.

Maiku(to himself) : "I guess fate will decide where my story goes next."

To Be Continued....

Final Line :

"To beat monsters, one must choose themselves or humanity."

Narrator (Voice-Over):

> "To save the world… you must learn to die twice."

That was the warning.

A whisper passed like wind through trees older than history.

And now, the cost of salvation has come due.

Chapter 59 is not a chapter.

It is a sacrifice.

The war has split — not just in direction, but in soul. One path leads to the Avatar, the mind of the Root — cold, evolving, calculated.

The other to the True Root Body — colossal, ancient, a cathedral of flesh that remembers the first hunger.

And now… both hearts must bleed.

In the north, the Avatar fights like memory given muscle, a creature learning every human flaw mid-strike.

Matthew burns. Maiku soars.

And still they fall.

Because this enemy doesn't just block their attacks — it becomes them.

In the south, Jakku, Reen, and Gift face nature's fury unbound.

Teeth from soil. Tentacles like gods' regrets. A battlefield that devours.

And through it all, Reen — calculating, cracked, courageous — becomes the mind holding the crew together, even as her math can't solve what's coming.

They fight.

They fall.

They break.

Gift's final arrow carves an eye from the Root Body.

Jakku roars with divine law.

And yet, it's not enough.

Because in the end, it's Maiku who remembers what this war demands.

He walks into flame willingly — not to live, but to change the ending.

One punch.

A sky collapsed into his fist.

A scream turned supernova.

And for a moment, hope moved.

Then silence.

Then teeth.

The Root Body eats him whole.

And just like that, the fire is gone.

Maiku, who once laughed at gods and stood through storms, is swallowed by something older than death.

And the team?

Crippled. Crying. Hiding in dirt and blood.

Their flame is out.

Their will is ash.

And yet... the Root is not done.

A voice calls from below:

"One hand has bled. The heart still beats. Come watch it break."

The Avatar, scorched and wounded, limps toward rebirth.

It whispers hate into the night like a hymn.

Matthew, kneeling in ash, weeps.

And in that weeping — we hear the truth of this war:

You can't win against the Root.

You can only outlive it.

Or… outchoose it.

Because somewhere inside that monstrous body, Maiku breathes.

Not whole. Not safe.

But alive.

And the Root?

The Root is dreaming.

And now, he's inside the dream.

So ask yourself:

When a monster eats a man…

What happens if the man starts fighting back from inside?

The two hearts have bled.

But the world still waits for its resurrection.

Because in the end…

> "To beat monsters, one must choose:

themselves... or humanity."

To be continued.
