Shadow in the elevator stood still as he headed for the next floor below.
"Guns check, swords check, utility belt good to go, grappling hooks check."
He unsheathed and sheathed his weapons back before taking a deep breath and stood still.
BING!
The elevator then stopped as the doors began to slide open.
Shadow placing his left hand on his gun and grabbing his right sword, then took a running stance.
Immediately the doors opened, what welcomed him was a spray of bullets.
Using superspeed he ran into the room, dodging and deflecting the bullets as he drew out his gun and sword.
He moved across the room, taking out the thugs firing and attacking him.
Ahead he spotted a jet take off through a vacuum heading for the waters above.
Jason then immediately sheathed his weapons and charged to follow it.
But as he was about to dive into the vacuum and run on its walls, he looked to his left and he saw it.
TICK! TOCK! TICK! TOCK!
A bomb ticking and counting, 30 seconds before it sets off.
"Jade, get out of here now! This freaking place is about to blow."
Shadow then leaped up towards the wall of the vacuum, immediately he ran.
The jet had gone into the water, and the vacuum gates were closing shut.
Shadow seeing this ran, and before he knew it, a dark aura, his dark aura burst out of him, and he moved tremendously fast.
"Arrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!!"
Shadow then burst into the water, and due to the speed at which he moved, he was like a projectile heading upwards after the jet and his dark aura trailing behind him.
He sighted the jet ahead while he was getting close.
Suddenly, missiles came towards him.
Shadow then spinned to his left dodging one. Then to his right dodging another.
Two came at him one after the other. Shadow then pushed himself on one flipping backwards dodging the second. And as he got control of himself he boosted towards the jet faster than ever.
He was getting close, but then this happened—
A guy in a dark purple full face masked suit, elevated collar and black cape launched out of the jet out of the water with thrusters on his boots.
"Phantom"
Shadow then got to the jet and held its left wing.
Together with him, the jet burst out of the water up into the air as his dark aura flowed out of him.
BOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
From beneath the water there was a massive explosion that rose up and spread out releasing a wave of energy and water.
Suddenly, the jet Shadow held onto exploded and he was blasted away like a bird.
He hit the water bouncing on and off before he sank.
Swimming to the surface, Shadow stood up looking around for anyone.
"Arrgghhhhhh!"
Shadow leaped up into the air as a robotic tentacle passed beneath him.
He then landed and turned around, from the forest behind a female figure walking out.
She had black hair, wore lab glasses over her eyes. She wore a black sleeveless top on black fitted trousers and boots.
From her back, six robotic tentacles portrayed themselves. Two helping her stand as they planted on the ground, two by her left and right side, then the last two rose up swirling in the air.
"And lady, who might you be?"
"Oh Shadow, you don't know me yet?"
"Well am I supposed to know?"
"Answering a question with a question, wonderful."
The lady scoffed as she locked eyes with Shadow.
"By the way, I am Viper."
She then took a weird stance standing on her legs, and her tentacles closed up on their sides becoming more flexible.
Immediately, Viper sent them all to Shadow, while she too ran towards him.
Shadow then drew out his swords and ran towards her.
He began deflecting her tentacles and both collided.
There were blades by the sides of Viper's tentacles which Shadow noticed when it sliced him by the leg, chest, rib and neck.
With speed, Shadow dodged the tentacles and was striking at her with his blades. But as he attacked she countered.
"Stacy, can she read my moves?"
{"Most likely sir."}
Suddenly, one tentacle wiped and sliced Shadow on the chest as he moved back, but landed on his feet.
"Then it's time to go fast."
Shadow then took a deep breath as his dark aura flowed, but out and on his blades.
He then moved towards Viper and he began attacking her. This time she found it more difficult to read his moves.
Shadow then sliced her by the left shoulder, kicked her backwards while moving towards her aiming for the head, but her tentacles blocked his sword and pushed his hands upwards.
One tentacle was about to drive through Shadow's chest, but he let go of his left sword and caught the tentacle.
"Get over here!"
He yelled as he drew Viper and towards himself.
Although the blades on the tentacles were eating into his palm, he didn't mind. And as Viper got to him, he gave her a powerful punch in the face as she moved back.
Shadow then spinned and gave her a smooth kick, sending her away.
Shadow drew out his left gun and shot at her, some hit her leg and hand while her tentacles deflected some.
Two of her tentacles then planted on the ground holding and stopping her, before she moved towards Shadow.
Shadow caught his blade in the air and moved towards her too.
She sent her tentacles and Shadow was deflecting them with his swords.
They both collided and began striking against each other continuously until Shadow kicked her into the forest.
He ran into it following her and striking her too.
But all her tentacles came at Shadow, he blocked them with his swords but they pushed him lifting him up into the air, before hitting him down to the ground. Then another whipped him out of the forest.
Unexpectedly, all the tentacles came from different directions and before Shadow could react, they all sliced him all over his body and hit him away.
Shadow crashed by the bank of the sea bleeding as the waters flowed on him.
{"Sir—"}
"I know Stacy. I know what I have to do."
Shadow stood up staggering and controlling his breath.
Viper ran towards him and together with her, her tentacles too came towards Shadow with great force.
Shadow seeing this then clenched his swords tightly, and immediately—
BURST!!!
His dark aura exploded out of him, enveloping and engulfing him.
His aura flowing through his swords, while he took a running stance.
Placing his right foot ahead of his left, going low, stretching forth his right sword, while his left trailed behind him.
Shadow took a deep breath and exhaled—
WHOOOOOOSSSSSHHHHH!!!!
Shadow suddenly disappeared, then turned up in a considerable distance behind Viper maintaining the same stance.
BURST!!!
"Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!"
Viper gave out in pain as all her tentacles got sliced to pieces and she was sliced deeply on the chest.
"H-how d-dare y-y-you?"
Coughing out blood, Viler turned around to face Shadow with rage while she staggered.
She then ran again towards Shadow, but—
WHOOSH! SLICE!
Shadow disappeared and wind up behind her and immediately Viper got split into two vertically.
Blood splashing, guts spilling, her parts then crashed on the ground creating a pool of blood.
Shadow then stood upright, sheathed his swords and faced the sea.
"Stacy, did I do the right thing?"
{"What do you mean sir?"}
"I had no choice, it's either she kills me or I do."
{"Sir, I may be just a program. But one thing I know is this. As humans we are sometimes faced with hard choices, and in this job you can't always save everybody. You had to take her down or else she would have continued taking innocent lives like she always does."}
"Thanks."
BURST!
From the sea ahead, Sentinel burst out of the sea up into the air.
She then flew to the shore and landed before Shadow.
"I see you handled the accomplice."
"Yeah, her name was Viper."
"Don't feel bad. That woman has taken more lives than you could ever imagine. She kills all in the name of science and fun."
"Yeah yeah."
Shadow then sat on the ground facing the horizon.
"Did you see Phantom?"
"Yeah, he escaped while I pursued their jet."
"Oh no!"
Sentinel then landed as she took off her mask.
"What is it?"

Phantom and Asuna both levitated above the waters facing each other with a considerable distance in between them.
Four rock-like boxes having runic patterns stood afloat above the waters.
Asuna then spread out her arms as the boxes rose up into the air and lightning flowed through connecting them to each other.
"It is time Asuna, begin."
"Ārīs and forþbryce þā eorðan!"

Shadow rising up to his feet as he and Jade looked up to the sky which was being filled with dark stormy clouds and lightning.
"Okay, this is bad."
"We can't stop this alone Jason."
