If he doesn't then they certainly will have difficulties or worse they will die, which is the reason he does not regret his actions at all
'It is only gonna be a short while anyway' Kaneki inwardly said to himself as he thought that it was only a short amount of time they were together
After getting them back to their parents or dropping them at a safe place is the moment they will break up, at least thats what he thinks

'But how did it all start and why?' Kaneki asked this question himself in his mind as he couldn't believe that it was natural nor did he think that somebody had done this unintentionally
He definitely knows that someone is behind with some motives which he doesn't understand as killing millions does not justify any reason unless someone has mental problems or someone is seeking revenge
'Whoever is behind this is not my concern, my main priority is to protect right now' Kaneki inwardly said this as that's what he needed to do right now
He doesn't need to care about the so-called culprit, as he just needs to make sure of the safety of the girls as that's what his responsibility is
He continued to stare at the sky, forgetting everything else as he started to enjoy the scenery before him

Meanwhile with Saeko, Rei, Saya and Shizuka….
All of them started to pack their own belongings, luckily Shizuka's friend had some bags that they could use to carry items
But there is one problem which is the weight of the bags, Saeko is the only one with a strong body excluding Kaneki since Saeko has been trained from childhood
But even if she can't lift all the bags herself, only gonna make her slow which is extremely bad for her since it will slow down her sword putting her life in danger
This is the reason that they are taking the items out now as they are now putting it in moderate amounts just so they can at least carry themselves
"Shizuka sensei are you sure you don't want big guns?" Rei asked this question to Shizuka who was at this moment packing her items which were mostly medical items since that's Shizuka's speciality
Rei asked this question since unlike others Shizuka chose a small pistol for her defence making her confused as she thinks bringing big guns is surely safer than a small pistol
"I dont think she even needs that," Saya said as she intervened since Saya thought Shizuka dont even need that small pistol for her safety after all having Kaneki definitely brought more safety than any gun
Saya somehow knows that before there could be any danger comes towards, Kaneki gonna take care of it before that danger could even touch her
"Correct~," Shizuka said as she gave a thumbs up to Saya for the correct answer and that's how much Shizuka trusted Kaneki
Rei also realised that what they said made sense after all why did someone need a weapon when they had such a powerful bodyguard
"By the way, where has he gone now?" Saeko asked this as she looked towards Shizuka because it had been a while since she had last seen him
"Oh him~? He must be on the roof~" Shizuka said as she continued to pack her stuff, as she was not surprised even a little bit about his disappearance
Because she knows that he likes to go on top of the roof and look at the sky which is the reason she is not worried at all as right now
"Oh I see" Saeko replied as she didnt ask further, as she started to continue doing what she was doing right now
"Hey Saeko-san, aren't you worried for your family" Rei asked this question to Saeko since she had never seen her worry even in this situation
Not to mention she never speaks about her family during this whole time even when Rei and Saya wanna to go see their family
"I only have my father like you but he lives abroad, so he will be fine" Saeko said this even without looking at her as she continued to do what she was doing
"I see" Rei replied as she felt a little bit of regret asking thinking she might upset Saeko with her question but now she knows Saeko's family is similar to hers
"I am done, I will go and see what Kan-chan is doing right now~," Shizuka said as she went out, leaving 3 of them alone
"Shizuka-sensei seems to be seeing that guy more than just a little brother," Saya said in a low tone as she looked in the direction where Shizuka had just left
Even though Saya's tone was very low but both Rei and Saeko managed to hear it clearly as both agreed with Saya's statement in silence
Not only due to the behaviour Shizuka has towards Kaneki but also the fact that Shizuka takes baths with Kaneki
Even though they know about this still no one has raised that question since it is their private matter and they have no right to question
"I am curious how old Kaneki-san is", Rei said as he started to be curious about Kaneki's age since to them Kaneki looked really young as almost younger than them
She is curious since Shizuka clearly looks older and Kaneki looks really making her wonder whether their relationship is legal or not
"He might be younger or be older than us, who knows", said Saya as she wouldn't be surprised even if Kaneki was older than them even if he looked so young
