Technically, there was still a week before the race began, plenty of time for Qin Miao to easily increase his proficiency on the American circuit to 100. He didn't need to rush.
But it's important to know that a week later, the race isn't on the American circuit but on Ferrari's private Fiorano track.
Qin Miao doesn't have the "Diligence Can Make Up for Shortcomings" proficiency bonus on the Fiorano track, so he can't just run it on the simulator for a day or two like before to get a decent understanding of it.
To achieve a good result in this test, Qin Miao not only needs to constantly familiarize himself with the track lines and braking points on the simulator, but he also has to find time to drive his 488 to physically experience the track.
