"Okay, watch me play four against five and let you experience what it's like to be carried."
Zhou Guanyu responded, then eagerly put his attention back into the game.
"Hey." Qin Miao answered Qimeng's call somewhat nervously.
For some reason, Qin Miao suddenly felt like he was caught by a parent doing something wrong.
"Honey, why haven't you come back so late?" Qimeng's voice came through the receiver.
Qin Miao carefully discerned the tone; it seemed normal enough and not angry, probably just a normal inquiry out of concern.
Instinctively, Qin Miao wanted to hide the fact that he was gaming outside with Zhou Guanyu, and was about to say he and Zhou were out eating barbecue and would return later.
But Qin Miao had a nagging feeling, that once he started lying, he might not be able to stop later.
So after a brief internal struggle, Qin Miao spoke up honestly: "I'm at an internet cafe..."
There was a noticeable pause on Qimeng's end.
