Chapter 832 - Chapter 136: Population in 1890

First Town.

By the beginning of 1890, the population statistics of East Africa had been updated once more. If not for the war, the data should have been completed around July or August of the previous year.

Since the population census in East Africa switched to every ten years, 1889 marked a decade since the last census, delayed by a few months due to the war.

In 1879, the population of East Africa was fifty million, including thirty million citizens and nearly twenty million Black people. Now, a decade has passed.

"By the end of last December, the total population of East Africa had surpassed fifty-two million, making our country one of the few in the world to exceed fifty million. We rank after the Far East Empire, the United Kingdom, Tsarist Russia, and the United States."
