Chapter 104 - Past

Among the city lights, she walked with her hands dragging along the walls. She looked at the news on huge building display screens. She was being hunted.

Flashlight beams illuminated the city while her body hid in the shadows. The leader, with his dominant hand over his face, gritted his teeth as he muttered about the problems the woman had caused and would cause if she remained free. He thought that if he allowed her to stay loose, he might have an enemy against his plan.

In an alley, she sat with her back protected by the coat against the cold walls. She called her robots and they appeared promptly. She demanded quick maintenance and they gathered over her, with various electric sounds and watchful gazes directed toward the alley's entrance and exit.

In a city where rain had returned to dominate, the girl's fixed eyes met the ceiling. Red eyes, paralyzed body and chest breathing slowly. The partner beside her opened his eyes, turning his body to find his partner's state. He slowly caressed her breast, asking her to sleep, to stop thinking about the things she was thinking about.

She shuddered and blinked, her hand squeezing his against her naked body. She apologized for the worry and said she was not okay with all the events that had happened so quickly. The fight against the true "Skyler Fogue", the disappearance of the Pillars and the threat. When she turned to him, placing her forehead against the man's chest, she murmured that she feared the future.

He placed his hand on her head, asking her not to fear anything, because, in his words, he would protect her and Flowey with all his strength. She smiled against his skin and kissed it, thanking him for not getting irritated with her, and he only argued that he was doing what a husband should do.

Among the bright lights of that melancholic city, the couple rested embraced with the sound of the drops accompanying them.

However, there was one soul that still did not rest.

Sitting in her chair, a woman with hair tied in a braid observed the papers in front of her. She sighed, brought her fingers to her temple and massaged them frantically, murmuring the name of the man who threatened her country, her home.

The force applied in each signature almost pierced the papers, making her throw them away and ask for another copy. She glanced briefly at the white blade leaning against the wall, the bright lights making her body automatically move to grab it, but she stopped.

She threw her back against the chair, whispering about how hard it was to govern so young and with no help. And meanwhile, resting her cheek against the palm of her hand, her purple eyes watched the endless rain fall.

In the alley, the lights went out and she fell to the ground, breathing heavily but controlling herself not to breathe too much. She tried to move her arms, but they were incapable of movement. She tried to move her legs, but there was no obedience. She cursed the nothingness itself for it.

Suddenly, the beam of a flashlight approached the darkness and a guard appeared. He opened his mouth to announce, she tried to prevent any speech, but the only thing that silenced him was the movement of one of the robots, which moved with its hands transforming into blades and disconnecting his head from his body, with the face full of terror staring at her.

There was only silence, she did not close her mouth, she only stared at the lifeless eyes for seconds... tears appeared, as she whispered, as if seeking an answer...

Mommy... daddy...
