Chapter 126 - Tang San's True Talent

The Green-robed Woman continued leading the way forward.

Her movements seemed gentle, but each step covered a vast distance, as if some force was lifting and propelling her forward.

The Armored Man followed closely behind, striding with a powerful gait. His hard-soled shoes struck the bluestone path, making a rhythmic "da-da-da" sound, like hammering iron.

The sound was full of energy and incredibly penetrating, as if continuously striking a bronze bell.

"Although you were brought here, you should understand the rules and know what's important. But I still need to lay down the law.

Perhaps in your own worlds, some of you are geniuses, some are nobles, some are invincible and self-important, and some are widely admired and sought after.

But here, you are nothing."

"Don't look around, don't run around, don't move around, don't speak carelessly, and don't let curiosity get the better of you. Remember one thing: once someone is killed, they truly die.

Otherwise, don't say I didn't warn you."

The Armored Man spoke, and everyone else became even more silent, trembling with fear.

Only Tang San's eyes flashed with a look of shock. After reacting, he lowered his head slightly to conceal his expression.

Different worlds?

The amount of information contained in these few words was truly astonishing.

More importantly, he happened to be a transmigrator, and he knew of the existence of other worlds.

Not long after, the Green-robed Woman turned off the main road leading to the city gate and onto a smaller side street.

Directly ahead was a large hall, inside which three imposing statues were enshrined.

From left to right, they were dressed in yellow, blue, and red robes, respectively. The plaques above their heads bore their names in an unknown script.

Tang San's expression froze again, his pupils contracting violently.

His heart was pounding, as if a heavy hammer was beating a large drum.

Because he actually recognized these words; they were clearly the seal script calligraphy from his previous life.

Tang San hadn't systematically or deeply studied the seal script, but the Chinese writing system shared a common lineage, so he could guess about eighty or ninety percent of it.

The words on those plaques were:

Lord of the Dao and Virtue, Primordial Lord of the Jade Purity, Lord of the Numinous Treasure, precisely the legendary Three Pure Ones.

Beyond his shock, Tang San couldn't help but feel a flicker of joy. Since the statues of the gods from his previous life could appear here, it meant Feixian City should have countless connections to that world.

This way, when he participated in the so-called Feixian Trial later, wouldn't there be a shortcut he could take? After paying respects to the statues, they entered the back through a side door. The Armored Man and Green-robed Woman stopped, and a third NPC appeared.

He wore a Taoist robe, held a horsetail whisk, had white hair and a youthful face, and exuded an ethereal, immortal aura.

The Taoist flicked his whisk, weaving through the corridors, and led everyone into another great hall.

There was nothing in the room except a low, cylindrical platform, on which a dazzling, multi-colored sphere was embedded in a groove.

He stood to the side and pointed at the sphere, saying:

"Place your hand on it."

Everyone immediately stepped forward, and that section of space, about the length of an arm, was instantly packed, people squeezing together so tightly they could only stand sideways.

Seeing this, the Taoist's mouth twitched violently, and he added, utterly speechless:

"Hasn't anyone explained the procedure to you? One at a time."

After everyone else had withdrawn their hands, colorful light flowed over the orb, and dazzling rays of light flashed from it.

A pale blue virtual screen suddenly appeared in front of Tang San:

[Name]: Tang San [Age]: 12 [System]: Soul Master/Martial Artist [Realm]: Level 30, Two Soul Rings, Soul Grand Master/Third-Rate Martial Artist [Talent]: Innate 0.5 level Soul Power (Real), Innate 10 level Soul Power (False) Top-tier Martial Soul: Blue Silver Emperor, possessing top-tier life, high-grade plant attributes, and high-grade devouring and high-grade carrying characteristics. [Evaluation]: Poor talent, incorrect future development path. Achieved some success relying on martial arts techniques, but the future is still bleak and does not meet the standards for admission to Feixian City.

Tang San stared blankly at the virtual screen, his eyes instantly widening to their maximum, like a pair of bronze bells.

His breaths grew heavier and more labored with each passing moment. A surge of blood rushed to his head, turning his entire face crimson.

It wasn't until the colorful ball vibrated with a "weng" sound, forcing his hand away, that he reacted. With a ferocious expression, he roared: "Impossible!"

"This is absolutely impossible!"

What a joke! His innate Soul Power was clearly level ten, so how could the evaluation be 0.5?

Besides, his teacher had already explained that the reason his first two soul skills weren't performing well was because his martial soul was too weak. He needed to develop it to a certain stage before its true potential could be revealed.

Then, the exquisite and rare Soul Rings...

The age limit was near.

How could this possibly damage the source?

Tang San's shout of exasperation, and the extreme terror in his tone, immediately startled everyone else around him.

Only the Taoist seemed accustomed to such scenes. With a blank expression, he waved his horsetail whisk. The three of them were instantly frozen in place, unable to move anywhere except their eyeballs.

A moment later, when Dai Mubai and the others behind him also placed their hands on the sphere, their expressions similarly fluctuating, Bing Qing Yujie was astonished to discover that everyone else's eyes were completely empty.

In other words, the words he had just seen, others hadn't.

This gave him a slight sense of relief. At least, he didn't have to worry about the embarrassing situation being exposed.

The ball detected very quickly. In less than two minutes, all nine people had been examined.

The Taoist's face showed a strange expression, and he spoke in a bizarre tone.

"Who brought you all here? Not a single one of you meets the standards? Forget it, it's none of my concern. Don't tell me, or I'll be in trouble."

He shook his head, turned, and walked towards the exit, flicking his right-hand horsetail whisk, motioning for them to follow.

Soon, they entered a giant hall, at least ten times wider than the previous one.

As far as the eye could see, the hall was filled with rows of red chairs that resembled massage chairs.

Seemingly realizing this group didn't know even the basics, the Taoist took the initiative to explain, "This is your final way to obtain residency in Feixian City. Lie down, put on the helmet, and the virtual interface will guide you."
