"You are telling me some rebels were spotted near the Crystal Moon border, is it, Alpha Roman?" Thorne asked.
"Yes, my king. Right over here." He pointed at the section on the map. "They seemed to be passing by, and we didn't want to make trouble."
"You didn't want to make trouble?" Thorne snarled. "Alpha Roman, the second you sight rebels, there is—" he paused, brows pinched together instantly.
His vision bled red; it was so sudden. The pain hit him like a train, and he stood up, staggering backward slightly. The pain was excruciating. It coursed through his veins, blinding him for a moment… but it wasn't his. It was hers.
"Your majesty!" Roman and Beta Calder's voices came through.
Thorne pressed his hand over his head. "Adina! Adina!" He yelled through the mind-link, but instead, he was met with a block.
A block?!!
His eyes snapped out. Something was wrong. Horribly wrong.
"Your majesty. What's wrong?" Roman asked, sharing a look with the beta.
